Can't do Diplomatic/Masterquest/SpellOfMaking victories in multiplayer?

One of the things that appealed to me about EWoM was the civ-like "more than one path to victory." I can't seem to turn on anything but conquest victories in multiplayer custom games. Is this just me?

Slightly off-topic: does the new beta game suffer from the same defect?

fe does not do multiplayer at present, and there ws talk of a possible multiplayer addon/dlc for the future,regarding wom multiplay do not know
