Pixelation of icons in Skinstudio

Hi,

I have been trying to develop my first Windowblinds skin using SkinStudio 7.3. 

Starting with the search icons under Control Panel, I used CorelDRAW to make a 32 X 16 PNG and imported it. (The icon was a simple black cross)

To test run, I applied the skin, but the images are distorted/pixelated as shown

I do not know what is causing this. I tried using different formats (BMP, PNG, TGA) but none of them seem to work. 

Kindly help me in this regard. Thanks.

It's not just on SKS though, It's on the search bar of the start menu.

If you just make the X a bit smaller it works fine. That's what I had to do.
