Total success or complete failure! No in between?
Hi all,
This is probably just me but I am wondering if others are finding the same.
When playing FE I find I am either unstoppable or I am everyone's whipping boy. I either win without trying or I get ground in the dirt with no way to stop the enemy.
Neither situation is great and unstoppable becomes a bit boring and the other extreme is very frustrating.
I play at normal difficulty and I am an average player (not hardcore). I like building my empire and searching the area for cool stuff. If I am lucky I am top dog and my hero can match anyone else. More often that not one of the other factions is stronger and is out to get me.
Questions:
1. Does giving tribute make dominant factions see you more favourably? Or is it a slipper slope of give me more more more?
2. Yesterday Tarth decided to declare War! on me. Within one turn every other faction bar 1 had also declared war on me, even though I have warm, close or even friendly relations with them and they in turn were not particulary buddy buddy with Tarth. How could that be? Seems kind unreasonable.
3. Is it better to go with 2-3 great cities built on 4/3 2 essence? Or having multiple cities? I have tried both scenarios but I can see a big difference in outcomes for me.
4. Can some one put up a strategy guide? Tips for building a good empire?
I am loving this game and I love how each update has added wonderful stuff. What I would like to see is that even when you down there is still possibilities for getting back up, diplomacy. It would be great if you could become the vassal of some powerful neighbour but years down the track break away from the arrangement and take over as master. ![]()
