Update to CursorFX.

Hi,

I was just wondering if CursorFX was going to get an update to fix the broken shortcuts. Also I would like to know if it is Windows 8 Compatible.

Thanks.

Well, I can answer the last part. As of now, CursorFX works on the desktop in Windows 8, but disappears on the metro part.

The broken shortcuts can be fixed now.  Point your shortcuts to CursorFX Control Panel.exe instead of CursorFX.exe.

True, but it is a workaround. CursorFX needs to work out of the box.

Yes indeed! You would think after three months the broken update would, could, should have been fixed for a purchased software. Kinda like Microsoft pawning tech support off to India! >_> X|

Any response from the peeps from Stradock. It is not critical but an answer would be nice.

Thanks.

It's been worked on but is not ready for release yet.

As one of the support guys that has to handle issues . . I wish it was fixed too.

Bugs will take longer to track down unless support is contacted directly. Forum posts seem to get overlooked sometimes, no matter how many reports are in the thread.

See reply #8 in this thread.

Edited to reflect new info. :sun:

I know tickets are the best way to inform of problems users may be having, but this was broken out of the box.

One of my friends wanted to have a go at CursorFX after seeing my system, I pointed him to the CursorFX_Free version to trial,

this of course is broken, and no previous version(s) were/are available. I had to go over and change the shortcuts for him for it to work.

New users are not going to play around and try and get the software to work, and just remove and move on, nor are they going to submit a ticket for free/trial software.

All we can do is wait for CursorFX to be fixed

HI Guys,

Any update to when Cursor FX is going to be fixed or did I miss the announcement that a new version is out?

It is now 6 months down the line.

It looks like it has been abandoned.

Hi

Cursor FX 2.11 does work within windows 8 and works just fine inside of Metro and all parts of windows 8.  All You need to do is re-download and install version 2.11 as it is a reworked and fixed version of 2.11 (just same version # as the one that did not work in Metro)so it works inside of metro apps now.  This was all in a past post in the forums.

Cursor FX works great here in windows 8 pro.
