can't display non-english file name

some local programe put files with non-english file name in c:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\ , start8 can't read it. click it will get a path error alert.

ps, the start button image is too large for mini status bar, Is there any small size I can find?

Could you provide some examples of the applications which are adding shortcuts that do not work.  Also is that in the all programs view, or in the recently used apps view (the main page)?

I think the issue has been identified.  I do not know of the resolution or timeline yet.

This should hopefully be resolved in the next beta update though I cannot provide a date for that yet.

We do not offer nightly builds no.

But there should be a beta update at some point in September.
