[Suggestion/Frustration] Highlight where a mine was destroyed

I get messages that X has been destroyed and it gives a general direction on my map but I have to tab through enemies in my territory to find out what happened.

My suggestion is to go directly to the place where the improvement was so I can punish the enemy.

FYI - playing on 9.5

Thanks

Agree 100%

This drives me nuts.  A notice that your "southeast" outpost/mine/etc. has been destroyed is not enough on a large map.  Little changes like this go a long way!

This is probably my biggest outstanding issue.

I would rather have this than the line showing what city a resource belongs to. I have never needed that feature. Others may have, but I have not.

I agree - this is annoying.

It should generate an event notice like all the other events.  Then you can click on it when you are ready to deal with it and be taken to the location.  Having the event indicate which faction did the deed would be nice as well.

The directional message, e.g. "A resource was destroyed in the southwest." isn't helpful unless you know the point of reference.  Is it relative to your capitol, the geographic centre of your kingdom, or the absolute coordinates of the map?

I was actually just about to make a thread about this topic. I will post my suggestion here.

In addition to the better event handling that everyone above mentioned, I would also like to suggest that destroying improvements not be so simple as walking over them. It's cheesy (in the sense that it's abusable against the AI to camp their improvements and bankrupt them) and frustrating when defending against many waves of attackers, they ALL walk over your clay pit on their way to your base, because, why not?

Please make it an action that consumes a turn or two, thus giving the defender time to interrupt the destruction, and saving us several dozen re-queing of clay pit construction, simply because it's located in a high traffic location.

Glad I am not the only one. The other one I hate is the "monsters in your territory". That is fine but I know there is a dragon or drake in my territory, I can't do anything about them so I ignore it - hence I ignore the message. Can't the message says "There are 3 enemy units ion your territory", that way when, in the next turn, it  says "There are 4 enemy units in your territory" I know that I have a new problem to look at.

Maybe the cloth map could have a a nice blinking animation for the remainder of the turn, or be able to step through the events and the map updates to that position. Or put a big red arrow saying - stuff happened here. :)

I love the suggestions by Chalkbot of a clickable item to take action on as well as the action takes at least a turn to complete.  Those a great ideas that can easily be implemented and this would help fine tune the game.

If I had a gildar for every time this has been requested.....  You'd think they would get the hint.

Also, there should be a Red exclamation or X or some other icon on the minimap until the end of turn whenever something gets razed.
