Reporting: OMGIN1

Hello, I'm a new player and have recently really gotten into the game, But i'm struggling to even

enjoy the games or play one mainly for the fact OMGIN1 is an abusive and childish player who will ruin

a game if he doesn't get his own way. He refuses to let any new players join in. Recently many of the

more experienced players have realised that the community is small and are accepting new players

helping them to grow. But sorry, why even bother when OMGIN1 is chasing off the new players because

he is an absolute Cunt :). I feel that if something isn't done about his behaviour then this game will

NEVER grow in community, It's difficult to find enough players for a game as it is !

I vaguely remember I've seen this guy two or three times in the no noobs lobbies, from which he was subsequently kicked. To clarify things a bit for "newer players" (although what I'm going to say seems quite self-explanatory to me): lobbies having a "no noobs" title are intended for people, who - surprise, surprise! - are no newbies. It really takes some insolence to join such a lobby despite the title, then to complain on the forums for being kicked or "chased off". If there are experienced people that want to coach you - fine by me, but it seems to me that you fail to understand it's an individual choice, not some kind of obligation experienced players have towards you.

OMG-IN1

i was forced to reply for IN1 he kidnapped my little kittie and threatened me with killing it

Hey stuart - sorry to hear you are having a rough time with things.  I completely understand what you are saying, but here's the bottom line - if you are joining a game that indicates no new players, then the host SHOULD kick new players.  It's actually kind of a jerk move to join a no new player lobby then complain about being kicked.

Anyway, I understand your frustration and I'm sorry for it.  The only way around this (if you are trying to join no noob games and are inexperienced) is to make pals with one of the more experienced players.  If they will vouch for you, you probably won't get kicked.  That said, I suggest hosting your own games (indicate new player, etc).  Then you can kick super experienced folks if they join or try to balance teams out. Remember, everyone starts out as a noob - if you persevere though the super annoying times now, you'll likely end up completely welcome in future games with the non-noobish types.

While its perfectly true a host is not required to accept any player for any reason, its their lobby after all, this does not make abuse acceptable. As was covered in this thread: http://forums.demigodthegame.com/424225

No one can have a problem with a host saying to a noob something like "Sorry, no noobs in this game, please start noob lobby". However, that is very different to joining an existing lobby, spotting a new player, and instantly launching into a vulgar and abusive tirade against them insisting they must be kicked, and this is exactly the behavior I have seen from this player.  Which quite obviously, is unacceptable.

Indeed, being a new player is kinda irreverent here. The problem is that this player cannot help themselves from being abusive, and is to just about everyone apart from the small handful of players that still tolerate him. My suggesting to any player, new or old is to ignore the abuse, other than to take a screenshot of it. Then when you have a good sample, which won't take long, email it to [email protected]

Ive a debt of maphia with IN1, so im posting this for him, i assure reggird that his cat is alive and fine, until now. Here follows the proof:

IN: "I'm positive I've never assaulted a newbie player in an existing noob lobby (I never join noob lobbies, in the first place) for being a newbie player. However, if my words/actions were somewhat out of place, I sincerely apologize for them. I wish to emphasize the noob players that join my own/my friends' lobbies despite the "no noobs" marker should not expect to be treated kindly and tactfully."

Yes actually they should. You are wrong to think saying no noobs gives you free reign to be abusive if a new player joins the lobby. Just because they join your lobby does mean you can say what i have screenshots of you saying to them which is racist sexually derogatory abuse.

Anyway, I've seen IN1, as he always does, be abusive to multiple players noobs or otherwise in all number of  lobbies. People need to start reporting this guy more, he can't behave himself.

Actually , Yes , i do apologise for joining said clearly marked games , but i did so and ASKED the players in the lobby if they mind me playing , majority of the time , they do not mind. IN1 general Abuse which i and many others Including K_B received in a lobby which was NOT marked "no noobs which i was more than welcome to play in.

IN1 is kinda ruining the game for everyone, since he scare off new players all the time.

We need new players a lot more then we need IN1, so even if the newbie is "wrong", I rather help a new player then satisfy IN1s ego....yet again.

For the new players who read this, simply try and ignore this idiot. That's what he hates the most anyway.

Im usally on and host games for everyone, where I try to balance. In any case, my games gets played, with anyone who can behave themselves.

Look - when I played DG, I'd be "good guy pacov" most of the time (eg NOT all the time).  That meant I'd welcome new players, try to help them learn, etc, even if it meant I'd lose a game (it typically did).  That said, I think I've got a pretty good grasp on the situation as explained by multiple parties.  Can in1 be a dick?  Yup.  Is he out of line for kicking someone from a no noob game even if others vouch for him?  Not really.  The easiest thing to do is to accept that if you are new, unless you are pals with him directly, you won't be playing in one of his games.  Don't join them.  Instead, if you have a pal that is experienced, have them host and join their game. Your buddy won't kick you.  Otherwise, just play what you can.  Host noob only games, kick experienced folks that join, and learn to play.  If its a campaign to get in1 banned for being a pisser, then if you think you have a case, contact SD support at the email address K_B listed.  BUT -  I would personally be firmly against trying to get any player banned because they kicked an inexperienced player (noob) from a no noobs lobby.

Hopefully that clears things up (eg no bans or punishment for folks that kick players because they join games they are not welcome in).  I'm locking this thread.
