I saw this and couldn't help but think of all the rating fights we've had on WC over the years.  ;)

 

I got lost and wandered into the world's creepiest cemetery, where the headstones just had names and star ratings. Freaked me out. When I got home I tried to leave the cemetery a bad review on Yelp, but as my hand hovered over the 'one star' button I felt this distant chill ...

 

It's never worth worrying about in any case.

I look at it like this: If I rate it at less than a 3/5 in my head, it doesn't get downloaded and used. Site ratings/download counts mean little to me, I either like it or I don't.

Lol, except the rating system is ten stars here at WC Wiz.  They cut each star in half, so each star is 2 points.  So if you are giving a skin a 3 out of what you thought was a 5, you are actually rating it a 3 out of 10. ;P

1) It's a Master skin. ;)

2) A 'friendly-rating'. Someone rates it based on who the uploader is. (See quite a lot of those)

3) 'Drive-by' ratings. Some users find it cool to be high on the raters scoreboard, if this still exists, and just go through the galleries and rate everything as high as possible.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe some of the search filters use ratings as one of the search perameters.

I say we do away with star ratings and go with a Pizza rating system... People are much more frivolous with stars than they would be just tossing pizzas around all willy nilly..
