When I am setting up the game (choosing candidates, etc), there is a flashing strobe effect going on in the background, then when the game loads, big pathes of the map are blacked out in triangles, and as the opposing candidate travels the map, the black patches get bigger and bigger so you can no longer see the map. I haven't got past the first round of the game yet due to this.
