I'd say take it a step further

Release a "Windows 8 de-uglyifier" kit or the like. Whatever combo of your programs are needed to make Windows 8 look and feel more like older Windows releases. Having used Windows 8 some for testing I have to say it is a technically great OS that is stunted by it's horrible UI. I'm sure at work we are going to have a lot of requests along the lines of "I want it to look like Windows," or "I want it to b pretty." If you guys have a package that does that, that'll be what I buy to meet those needs :)

I suspect Windowblinds, once updated for Windows 8, will rectify that problem.

I agree.  As a programmer it's hard to imagine how Microsoft screwed this up so baad.  While the new Windows 8 Start Menu might be nice for tablet users or those with just a couple programs I have 130+ items on my Windows 7 start menu.  I can find and start any program significantly faster and with fewer mouse clicks and movements than in Windows 8.  In Windows 8 they are basically forcing us to clutter up the desktop with icons.

BTW excellent job on what you have done so far and fixing Microsoft's screwups!!! I swear the people in charge at Microsoft must think they can piss off every desktop user to the point that they will all switch to tablets.

I think if you can gives users a true Windows 7 style start menu it will really be a must have for every desktop user.
