Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion v1.031 Change Log

Available via the Steam client

We're happy to announce the release of a new hotfix for Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion today. This minor update includes the following changes:

[ Gameplay ]

  • Adjusted Titan distance on formation from 3000 to 2500 to help keep Titans from getting too spread apart from their fleet when not in combat.
  • Increased fleet cohesion ranges to help prevent fleets from constantly trying to reform during combat in bad situations.
  • Advent
    • Fixed incorrect value on Advent culture techs that grant a phase block bonus. These should work as intended now.
    • Advent Rebels
      • Corrected incorrect base values for Protection of the Unity, Reanimation and Return of the Fallen. The total amount of the bonus has not changed.
  • Vasari Loyalists
    • Added Pulse Beams to Energetic Pulse Charging tech.
    • Fixed incorrect weapon types on Loyalist Titan Desperation ability to properly include Wave and Phase Missiles.
  • Vasari Rebels
    • Fixed starbase destabilization so that enemies don't maintain the debuff after the starbase has jumped away.

[ Misc ]

  • Fixed typo in TEC race description dialog.
  • Fixed a null pointer crash in the buff system related to orbit bodies.

btw. just out of curiosity, will you ever fix these 5 broken achievements? ;-)  I've just taken a look on global achievements page and they still have 0%.

Steam will not let me update, it doesn't even see that there is an update.....

Anyone have any idea what I should do?

Yup, we'll be fixing those in the 1.04 update.

I like it when you fix things I haven't even gotten around to complaining about yet. Can't wait to see how much you were able to improve things.

That fixed it, you are a gangsta!(: (:

Does this in any way improve phase jumping issues, or just the AI doing it's "regrouping" thing?

It may help a little, but that wasn't really the purpose behind it.

Achievements are the very last thing anybody should care about ever fixing.

Sure, actual gameplay issues are more important, but in a perfect world, all features in a game should work as intended.

Unless it unlocks bonus content in the game, anything at all, achievements are absolutely worthless.

If you ever actually run across somebody bragging about achievements in a game with no benefit, punch them.  Hard.
