Riot Games Plagiarizing Demigod?

Vladimir from League of Legends was different enough conceptually not to be connected to the Vampire Lord from Demigod, mostly because he uses blood as an offensive medium somehow, but can this really be considered an original character by any means?

  • Same creative concept
  • Seemingly same gameplay mechanics

 

Just have to wait for the lore to come out. I get the feeling it might be a copy/paste of the Queen of Thorns origin page with mild editing to fit the League of Legends world.

The worst part is that I play LoL myself and enjoy it and want original champions but then get this, a champion ripped straight from one of my favorite games of all time.

ha. i saw this yesterday and i reckon it looks mighty suspicious. i wonder if she will be frustrating to play against as qot minion builds.

Side note - there are more than a few references to queen of thorns out there for other characters, etc (predating Demigod as well).  Just saying.  I really just find it entertaining that her passive is queen of thorns, etc.  More than a few similarities at any rate.  I think she'll be pretty fun to play in LoL at any rate.

Haha. I am JUSt reinstalling Demigod after a 3 year hiatus and have been playing alot of LOL lately and seeing that new hero actually reminded me about this game again :P. Thats how close she is to QOT in Demigod. They are asking for it with this one.

Hello Pacov, you prob don't remember me since I stoped playing Demigod for what, 3 years now. I'm just surprised to see you still active on these forums.

I'm just curious, are there still people playing Demigod?
