IP

Registration

Every time I double click on an IP (to install) the program keeps asking for my e-mail and registration.

Can this be fixed? Thanks for your help.

Am running Windows 7 64.

Did you have the trial installed, and did you uninstall it before installing the paid version?

S J N that should not be happening.  Along with the question that Wizard asked, what browser are you using?  I use IE 9 and when I hit download on the skins page the IconPackager automatically downloads and installs in IconPackager.  If you identify an IconPackager that did that I will try downloading it to if it happens to me.

SJN...  if you had a trial version, uninstall with CCleaner (and do the registry as well).

If you installed it with Impulse, you need to uninstall with Impulse (http://softarchive.net/blogs/hat/stardock_impulse.39069.html) and install and run it off line.... that might not work without being online and signing in. You might discover that it no longer detects your software.

If that doesn't work, use the ODNT zapper: http://sd.stardock.com/mike/apps/odnt_zapper.exe

Then install from the store:  https://store.stardock.com/login.aspx?ReturnUrl=/myaccount/products

Hope your sub is still active...

Did all you asked. I can install the IP, after downloading, from the program where it says 'install from disk.' When I double click on the IP, it asks for activation.

All packages or just some? Link to the one you are trying?

I just tried that IP. I get a very rapidly appearing and disappearing window that says installing package. Both auto install with IE9 downloads and a manual double click install with a Chrome download work. I've run into some packages that will d-click install but they don't stay installed. I've been using Add from disc to prevent this. Maybe the two issues are related somehow.

At this point, I recommend two things.

1:Uninstall IP, run a reg cleaner, and reinstall it.

2:Fire off a letter to support so they can collect some info on the problem.

S J N, I just clicked the download button on the skins page and it auto downloaded and installed to IconPackager.  I'm using IE 9.  If the suggestions from Wizard don't work then you do need to email support.  :S

EDIT:  Was just thinking, are you by any chance running another program that would affect Icons?

Is there a sig.bin file in the program directory?

you can delete it and run activate.exe and tjat may fix the issue.

Works fine now. Thanks. Just had to dl normally and let it install the IP itself. After activating the first time it now works without problems.

Thanks Guys. Appreciate it!

Now if Cursor FX were fixed, but that's another thread.
