Plus, I just think it's brave and bold and daring and a hell of a lot of responsibility and the folks who make the effort should be commended for doing so and not discouraged or have their motives questioned.
The internet is too damn small and the skinning community is even smaller for there to be any damn animosity or BS.

Hear hear ......;)

Skinners are a 'bunch of eggs'.

We NEED more baskets....;)

Time to settle down, kids. As ZubaZ implied, WinC is for skinning and about skinning. If someone/anyone starts a skinning related website they are more than welcome to drop a note about it here.End of story. Further arguements can/must be taken to Private Messages.

That includes you, Irokoness.

I welcome your PM.

My daughter had nightmares for a week.

Bambi's mom and Olivia, wonder if they're selling good will to man up there. I wish them luck.

And I never watched Bambi again. Broke my heart also. <X3

Siting back and reading all this stuff is just WOW. Pull together all you fine people as this use to be a family, so lets get that back. I have no idea how much time I will spend on the new site but am happy this thread started so I at least have the opportunity to find out about it.

Sit back and take notice. Think about who you see very little or not at all on here that use to be pretty active. The only replies that one should have read on this post are things like. Thanks, I will check it out, let me see what is going on over there, etc., etc. Look at the mess this has turned into. Very easy if one isn't interested to skip posting and wait for something else they would like to comment on.

Don't you think if something was wrong with a link and plug given on a new thread about another site this thing would have been removed real quick. Everyone of these thread that get out of control pulls WC apart a little at a time and we lose another person. One doesn't have to comment on threads they have something to say that may cause a problem. Skip it and find another one you can give a reply or have a bit of fun.

It's like real life on the street and with friends. It may not be always easy but it is better to just walk away and don't stay pissed over it. Many people have left this place. Well maybe not all together. I would bet many still check out the site and see this kind of stuff going off and off they go again for another few weeks or months. Feel the love people, especially if you enjoy skinning because windows 8 isn't going to make it any better.

You all know  neone6 always says "stay hard" (would be nice) I say stay strong and together. This is the home of almost every member I have looked at on the new site WINCUSTOMIZE. The others are vacation spots and good to have.

Sorry for the rant fokes it just got to me a bit.

the more people exposed, lies the potential for new customers.

OK.. I'm drawing the damn line right here, right now!

Most of us ( God help us ), have seen the pic of Jim when he just got out of bed. If he effing exposes himself on this new site I am cancelling my Internet service, smashing my computer and committing myself to the nearest asylum.

@Phoon XD

Just so things don't get much more out of hand...The "original post" didn't come across to well....refer to quote in comment #7 to see the original wording of the post. It wasn't that a new site was being advertised...it was the way it was worded. But since the original post was altered many of the comments missed the original feeling of the post which is never good for a post. New site are just fine...just choose your wording better when doing so.

Hey, they're skinners, not writers. ;)

I've been considering starting my own personal website at the suggestion of some of my family members. They seem to think it would do me well to get my name out there. I'm still on the fence about it because that was never my intentions when I started to get serious about skinning. It's just something I do because it's so much darn fun ! I absolutely love all of the Stardock products and this makes my second straight year that I've had the complete desktop packages with all the bells and whistles. I would most definitely advertise Stardock and WinCustomize on my site , I can't imagine not linking to them both ,as this is where I broke out of my shell and got my start. (THANK YOU  RND (JIM)  FOR GIVING ME THE ENCOURAGEMENT AND SUPPORT TO SHARE MY ART ) I will always be indebted to you for that |-)   So... I was wondering also, does Stardock have an affiliate program for marketing their products ? I would definitely be interested if they did. I already tell everyone I know about Stardock and WC.  -   O.k. .. I just typed alot of text there. I'll be over here if you need me.  :-"      -- Ace --

I'm really liking some of the apparent site features - e.g. built in article and video/media support and the 'mood' feature is a bit of fun :-).
A couple of things caught me out simply because they are different to here, but it feels nice.

But gosh, my first reaction was 'it's so chunky! those forum icons and title bars are huge!', but I guess a positive side effect is it's a tad easier to read... :-P

Thanks Doc for the info. - I'll make a post if I ever get that website up and running. I'm entering into some exciting new waters with this venture. :)
