Doc mentioned the hinge alignment thing... having a look, but don't see any issues here.

The 'issue' can be seen in my screenshot, plus here:

"Assembled" the graphics straight out of the box.
Took only 5 min to fix it, though. ;-)

You know what snowman. I am not homophobic but if I wanted to see shots like that I would be surfing deviantart. Just saying.

I'm sure you wouldn't have made the same comment had it been to semi-naked women. Just saying.

If people can put up pictures of scantily clad females (or female appearing people), D/C can post other scantily clad male appearing people. The question here revolves around 'affectionate/passionate' activity - hetero or homosexual.

I find people who feel they have to make a statement about personal issues do it in varying ways. Would words have said it differently? Yes, and one rule we all must abide by is that this is a "G" rated site.

I'm going to use an example which may or may not be accurate: Let's say a member has a child, or grandchild in the 5-11 years of age range. Is what you are going to post acceptable for that age range person? That largely depends upon the value system of the responsible adult chaperoning the child, but I think most would say, "We haven't educated our child about that yet."

When I was at those ages, there just weren't images like those widely or easily available. Also, 'standards' have changed radically since then. Homosexuality (male/female) was then considered an illness by Psychiatrists. Now that is correctly, I might add, not so.

I believe the standard here (and I certainly could be wrong) would preclude those (or similar female images) based on the age related/family site norm based on the activity, not the "issue" as some might perceive.

Thus, while nothing is 'innately wrong/sinful, etc.' regarding those images, I believe they should be changed out.

Let me make this perfectly clear: No homophobia/stupid/immature remarks will be tolerated by Moderation or Admin. Nothing about homosexuality is abnormal nor unacceptable. I accept D/C as he is, and like him and admire his courage.

I only ask the images be changed out until this can get Admin approval... and only because of the 'Family/G' rating for ALL posts.

Thanks Seth. I agree with most of what you said. I knew I would be opening a can of worms with my comments but decided to post them anyway. As I have said I am not homophobic. I was also not offended by the images because I see much worse when I go shopping for example. I was only disappointed a little because these images I associate with a site such as deviantart and not wincustomize. I will let others have their say. If admin or site members want them here then so beit.

I do appreciate what you have wrote Seth.

OH really! Then why do I delete stuff like that when I catch it as a mod at customize.org. Its the same thing so do not assume you know how I think.

I suggest that says it all, JC. You might want to think about 'worse', I suggest "I see much more explicit behavior on the way to the mall." No "good" and "bad".... with relation to orientation.

To me, there is only 'appropriate' or 'inappropriate' for the given context. My own standard is, if your parents told you not to talk about sex, religion and politics... then so much more so about 'public' activity. As a Moderator, I suggest keeping sexuality private and 'activity' images off the forums.

Come on Doc. Do not jump over one word I said.  I should not have to explain what I meant. I was talking about explicit. I am sure you have wrote and said things that in hindsight you would have said differently.

Oh... thought u meant vertically..

well, I suppose as with most wooden items, there are always slight inconsistencies.

I suspect the contractor had a cocktail at lunchtime

Good eye tho! :snowman:  |-)

That is completely correct, JC. No argument. I have, and have regretted it afterwards. I'm certainly not trying to embarrass you, nor correct you.

I said what I did about the broader issue, and will not retract that.

Let's all just relax and let Admin deal with the "activity" question. It's a valid and good one, from all points of view.

Don't recall seeing semi naked men kissing where I shop, where are you shopping? ;P

Anyway, for the record, I also didn't care to see that, but if it's within the rules.. so be it.

Yeah...personally I don't see that screenshot as being appropriate for this site and not something I'd care to see.

I'm with Web. Wholly inappropriate.

Whether appropriate or inappropriate for the site, I think it is always interesting that these types of things happen when those responsible for the site are usually away or not available for an extended amount of time.  Imagine that.  :-"

/me shakes head, and long for the time to come when he can use the 'Worf gif' again.

Anyway, here's a few pixels neatly put together to form an image:

Probably because posters are afraid they'll have to deal with comments like that.

Yeah. It's a double standard in more ways than one.

Two scantily women kissing would be okay.

Two 'topless' women kissing would 'get by' til enough 'women' complained.

Guys have the misfortune of going topless and not having it called porn or being rundown until they start kissing.

I guess two topless guys boxing would be okay. But for fucks sake, don't let them get affectionate.

You know, with all the stuff that has been posted in the forums in the nine years I have been here, up to and including photoshops of fellow skinners that only 'jest' at the possibility of them being gay for a LAUGH (which seems to be okay), I'm amazed that anyone who participates here would have anything to say about any two people showing affection at all.

Don't we even have a couple of skinners here who are transgender that were welcomed with open arms after they made it known? I guess it's okay as long as they don't post a pic of themselves kissing anyone.
