48$ shipping to Canada?  Yeesh, why is it that Norway and the UK have cheaper shipping than me?  I was willing to pay 70$ for the 'upgrade', but I'm not going to pay 118$ just for some trinkets, on top of the 30$ I already paid.

It's obvious some folks don't understand how discounting works when companies order items like this. A lot of the cost is front loaded then is discounted by the # of units purchased which is low in this case. Trying to compare to Diablo 3 CE is an apples to oranges comparison because of this.

It's also being sold "at cost", that means Stardock is NOT making any money on this. These guys like games and wanted to give something cool to fans to purchase "if" they could afford it. I think that's pretty cool and several I know are gladly taking advantage of it. 

It's outside of my price range currently, but that doesn't mean I think the price is outrageous. 

And... apparently you hobo79 think the price is reasonable for a Kol model or you wouldn't be considering purchasing it

I'd love to buy one but $48 shipping to Canada is outrageous. Sins' developers are here in Canada too. I don't see why we should be gouged like that on shipping. I order items from Amazon in the US all the time and shipping for similarly weighted items never cost $48.

It's not like you wont sell the copies anyway - it's called "Collector's Edition" for a reason; price is not the main attribute of it. You can't compare one CE to another - it'd be like comparing Mona Lisa to Whistler's Mother - they may have different estimated price tags, but they're equally invaluable.
The pic where you hold it just sold another copy, it's bloody massive! (And the sweet smile probably helped some too, can't deny that! ;))

why cant i pay with paypal, i do never give my cred card numbers to the internet?! i believe i paid my original reb with paypal, so why not the CE? I want it!

paypal restricts purchases to pay at the time and NO PRE-purchase orders, so blame paypal not stardock for the not paypal YET.

I'm not compaining about the price - 100$ for a CE is reasonable.  It's just the 48$ shipping to Canada that immediately turns me off of it.  I've had the Halo: Reach Legendary Edition (Around 12.34" sq, 5.2 kilos), delivered for 10.49.  It just seems like a huge price gouge on shipping to me.

Got mine pre-ordered.  Can't wait to play with my Kol in the bathtub.

Well the Collector's Edition will cost €48 and an extra thirty something euro to ship to Ireland. The price of the Collector's Edition itself is quite reasonable. The shipping price is the big worry. 

Just a few questions. For the large amount we are paying for shipping is at least first class shipping that will arrive within a week and not 2 months? Is it being delivered by a courier service or just being delivered by the nation postal service? 

I'll be buying it regardless.

Hard to say - we're hoping to get these out by late July, but it will ultimately depend on how long it takes the Kol models to arrive.
