I am really sorry for being such a.........great guy and using the WotS to kill your fleet,should have though that you may cry about it.and even remove me from friends.and add to ignore.:-o

 

now on a serious note - does anybody else think that advent rebel ability Wail of the Sacrificed is too overpowered and unavoidable?it sacrifices planet population to damage enemy ships in nearby gravity wells(damage ratio is 20 per 1 population unit),but you lose the planet.

WotS is a very powerfull ability but it is highly situational and highly map dependant.

 

You need a least a desert or terran planet to do reasonable damage and you loose it afterwards. On some maps it is basically useless because the only planet with enough population is your capital... on others it is truelly frightening.

 

My suggestion would be to keep its current damage, possible an damage increase on smaller planets but:

 

1. Nice graphics... a shockwave traveling to the adjacent gravity well and with that a delay until it hits that gravity well, so you have a change to run

2. A nice sound effect to all players who are in those adjacent gravity wells... something like and advisor warning " A giant psionic shockwave has been detected!
