Sad

I just did research on an old "online" friend, Boss019 or Rick as some of his friends called him... sadly he has passed away. He was a good friend and treated me with much respect, he will be missed. :(

Richard (Rick) D. Efigenio died Monday, Jan. 2, 2012 in Yuba City.

Born March 3, 1953, in Berkeley, Rick was a graduate of Davis High School and attended American River College to study music.

He had a passion for music and became a professional musician playing in numerous bands while traveling. Rick was the manager of University Radial Tire in Davis, and was a talented furniture maker, dedicated sports fan and computer enthusiast.

He is survived by his son Christopher, a recent graduate of UC San Diego, and employed as a computer engineer, his loving mother Harriet Schier, his sister Heather Padon and his good friend and former bandmate, Jim Dore.

We will miss you, Rick.

  RIP Rick...

Rick coached me in making XP Splash logons at which he was the Master.... he was always happy to help others with his special expertise and pumped out some incredible wallpapers as well as logons...

there were times he made me roar with his short fused but what we all wanted to say responses to the occassional pushy young dipstick in the forums.... made short work of them

it's funny.... I was only thinking of him and Bichur in the last couple of days as to how they'd not been around for so long.... I thought Boss had just dropped off as the new logons with no skinning required, didn't interest him....

thanks firebrick for letting us know... really appreciate it... when people we've 'socialised' with for so long disappear with no explanation, like My Secret, it always leaves you wondering... :-|

We are blessed that so many of us are still around and blessed that we have the artwork of those who have left us.

My thoughts go out to Rick's family.

vStyler: let me know if you hear from I.R.

The Loss Of A Loved One

The loss of a love one is so hard to face,
you just want to hide,
go some where and escape!
But death is something,
we all must go through,
I know it’s hard,
when it’s someone you loved and knew.

Just know now,
he is in a better place,
no more hurt or pain shall he face.
It seems unfair and yes this is true,
but he is in Heaven now
watching over me and you!

God has called him home to rest!!
And he’s being well taken care of
Because God knows best!

This is very sad news to hear indeed. I did not know boss019 personally as many of you did, however, I really enjoyed and respected his work. It is always sad to lose a member of this wonderful community. My small tribute to Rick:
