Stop Titan Level Transfer!

Stop Titan Level Transfer!

:waaaa: You lost your L8 titan, but don't worry failing empire, we don't want your self-esteem to drop into the gutter where your people will be in just a short time.  To keep you from crying, whining, kicking the kids - cat - dog - computer or ranting on the forums about how unfair it is your 1's and 0's got rearranged unfavorably, just build another and Bingo -Instant Esteem.  It requires no research, no thinking or even playing good -just turtle up and horde those resources.

Bollux, your Titan died just like your frigates, cruisers, starbases and capitalships.  You don't see developers making it so your next starbase has all the upgrades the one just nuked to hell had do you?  NO!  You don't see research that lets players buy up to level 6 on their capitalships?  Again No.

It died.  To Quote our illustrious leader...

Quoting MayallCommunion, reply 26Ive said this multiple times a fleet will always beat a titan with a small fleet. Titans are severely overrated except for some of their abilities.

Well, i have a level 10 Eradica (i learned to farm pirate bases ) and that thing destroyed a 50+ ship fleet, including a level 4 Ragnarov, on it's own and still had more than 75% of it's health left afterwards. As far as i'm concerned that thing is the god mech it looks like

But that may be because said fight was against the AI.

You cannot actually receive a level ten titan from farming the pirate base. It can go to level three however. If you get to a level ten you were extremely fed. But yes getting a level 10 in an AI game is much simpler than on a multiplayer game where they rarely get to 6.

i don't know if this is a bug or not but when i had an advent rebel titan and i was fighting a TEC star base and awhile into the battle and both mine and the starbase's shields went down and a ALOT of health was taken out but then....... WOW 3,000 shield points came back!!! and that happened ALOT until the stupid star base was destroyed by my reinforcement but i just want to know if its a bug or not

Sounds like someone is mad because he didn't manage to push forwards after killing the enemy Titan.

Titans still broke bitches

This has been a PSA brought to you by the letters W, T and F.

I agree with the OP but I don't think losing all levels is enough. If you lose your Titan, you should never be able to build another one, ever, even if you play a different game or even if you reinstall the game. That would be hardcore.

I see two main problems.

Eradicas ultimate

Ragnarov being rebuilt in 3 minutes... making it return quicker to the lines than one often could have repaired it. (Industrial Juggernaut)

The developers said something about inceasing the cost and more important the time needed to finish the rebuild. Imho that does solve most of the issues. Now, we just have to make the Eradicas ultimate worthy of that increased cost in money and time.

It was a pathetic trolling, but I agree with him that if he loses his titan he might as well go back to playing Maple Story.

Nope leave them alone noobs.

If you lose a titan at any point you gain a major disadvantage and can lose lots of ground and more ships.

YOU cannot turtle in the game. If you succeed in turtling. You're bad. However your opponent is worse.

People have already stated that the multiplayer games will be decided generally if a titan goes down. It's a pinnacle of offense but also defenisive capabilties. You lose a titan and normally half a fleet.

Games should never be balanced on the whims of single players or people who know not how to play.

This is a terrible way to play the game. It makes the game revolve entirely around Titans. If anything, Titans aught to be changed up into more of an anti-SB/entrenched defenses tool which was the primary reason it was even made; to have a means to end the endless back-and-fourth of Trinity, where games would last for hours due to little to no means of breaking great defenses. Further, insinuating anyone who is suggesting a change to Titans' level retention upon death is a "noob", or your implication that they are all SP players who do not know how to play, displays nothing more than a lack of substantial arguments on your end.

Disclaimer: I do not play vanilla Rebellion, as I find it dull and uninteresting, though I have a good understanding of how the game itself works.

If they did not retain levels on death, it would cure this stupid game of 'dont feed the titan'.

Instead throwing everything you have at a titan to kill it would make sense. I feel if you let your titan get killed you should lose its levels.

Thanks for the link but just a level or two is enough, going back to level 1 does seem too much. As mentioned above, it's more to discourage suicide benefits.

If you know of a mod that just knocks off a level or so without destabilising the game let me know.

This doesn't affect balance. It's a gameplay issue and as such anyone's opinion is valid.

While I'm sure for the top 30 or so skilled players listed on this website, even simply losing it in the first place is enough to tip the balance in their tight games - hey, if you lose such an important battle of course you are now considerably behind. I'm also sure these skilled players are capable of adapting to be slightly more careful with the titan to take into account that some experience will be lost. No-one is affected more than anyone else.

For all us unskilled mp and sp (everyone minus about 30 people), bringing down a titan is a huge moment, especially if it was higher level, and having it appear again a few minutes later, now with more experience, takes the achievement away. And when you get players obviously just sending the titan out for training it's annoying to now be forced to oblige.

Impossible I'm afraid. It was only recently that the lose all method was discovered, but I can think of nothing that could be used to reduce a specified number of levels.
