[BUGs][.912]World's End & Vetrar

Two bugs in regards to World's End.

Neither killing Vetrar, nor clearing all of the zone causes the border to drop.  You can never setting the area.

The second one is weirder.  In the image below I've circled a square in the center of World's End, right next to where I killed Vetrar.  I've lost three pioneers as they walked through this square.  There are no monsters or enemies.  I've walked my sovereign through the square and nothing.  Every monster in World's End is dead.  But three pioneers have fallen over dead, in their post-battle defeat animation.  No idea what's going on.

Edit:  The first pioneer was solo. The other two were in a group together.

Edit2:  Just tried it a fourth time.  Same result, probably 50 or 75 turns later.  Save game here.

Did you cast firestorm on Vetrar's stack?

Yeah.  Is there a known bug with firestorm lingering?

Doesn't the description say that it starts a fire on the square that lingers for 10 turns?

Yes.  The fire graphics linger for the appropriate amount of turns too.  This was after they had faded.  The final one, that I did just to make sure I wasn't nuts when I posted this, was at least 50 turns later.

Firestorm stays indefinately, I've had armies suffer damage travelling through squares that have had it cast on.

Yeah, I had this too. He also dropped some items when I defeated him but these never made it to my inventory, annoyingly.

Did a thread on this myself, yesterday, and apparently it's a known bug.  Only the swamp god's border drops after it's killed.  The others don't.  And another curious feature: you'll sometimes find odd results if you look in detail at the city where you've assigned the benefit from the god's death.  After killed Vetrar, my city showed no benefits.  After killing the swamp god, that city under the settlement details screen had a +1 to overview and output, with the obviously incomplete description, "fasdasfdafasfd."

A work in progress, in other words.  Would love to see all the issues surrounding the gods fixed in another quick-patch, but we'll just have to wait.

Honestly fixing these issues will probably come in a later beta build, when they address quests and wildlands.

Do you get experience for killing things with firestorm?

The boss mob in this area didn't even show up for me ... combed every square of the area. No joy. (playing 1.3 beta)

edit: he did show up, was about 20odd squares away from his home in enemy territory. Alas, killing him did not free up the wildland.

It seems that if a boss who must be defeated to clear a wildland leaves the wildland, they can't unlock it any more.  Either monsters need to not leave the wildland, or they still need to be connected to the wildland they come from in the case of "defeat all monsters" or "defeat boss" wildlands.
