I have. Several questions. To do with the super weapons. I can understand being able to tell that super weapons or titans are being built. There are often neutral planets, scouts of your own, agents and the like, so you know the important stuff, even the TEC rebellion would know through their black market network or even the pirates.
Super weapons. Not only are they a pain in the ass. But there is no limit on them.. I know I am late to the party so it may have been changed in the interim. But the only limit is 1 for every 4 planets you own. If you are the TEC loyalists and have novalith deregulation, then it becomes 1 novalith for every 2 planets you own.
What I want to know though. Is how in the hell a novalith shell makes a ripple in phase space. The shell travels at what is essentially sub-light speeds, it never enters phase space at all. or has anything to do with phase space. If anything the cannon is a giant railgun, it does not use nor influence phase space at all.
A Kostura cannon yea, I can see that rippling phase space, right before it tears a hole in it (temporary phase node portion of its effects)
Also the advent weapon, Is not as terrible as people think. Oh it shoots culture boo hoo. Culture lowers allegiance, no allegiance means you lose you colony. Not to mention both advent factions gain the ability to see any planets under the effects of their culture and their ships gain damage boosts (quite big ones) when in friendly culture. So if their cannon has your world spewing their culture, their ships will have an advantage, to both damage output and shield regen and I believe repair rate too. Anyway, guess who can scout your planets without sending a ship to them while influencing their allegiance. Even a 1% drop in your allegiance is enough to have an adverse effect on your planets income, let alone the changes it makes. Oh and the deliverance engine can also target friendly planets, including the one it is built in. So if your system is being over powered by enemy culture (shame on any advent player who lets that happen to their core worlds) or even colonies built within enemy culture influence which automatically start at 25%. now unless you got a temple of communion out quick smart, and sometimes even then, you would lose the colony. But hit it with a deliverance signal, and suddenly you can make a forward base deep inside enemy culture, and even over power it. People think it sucks because it does no direct damage. People just don't know how to use it right. Advent get a pretty bad rep cause their guns aren't as big. But the people that hate on them, just don't understand their true danger. They can take over entire star systems without firing a single shot. aside from killing ships etc. But no planetary bombardment required. The loyalists can just take planets with their titan. it just floats into a gravity well, bypasses defenders and takes the planet with mass mind control. Can be done anywhere except capital worlds or that special one in occupation games.
