Help Needed

Hi Everyone, I'm Currently half way through making a new skin but I've encountered a couple of issues I'm hoping someone here can help me with.

The first one is removing the gap between the "Command Bar Background" and the "Top Glass Area" in Windows 7. ( I've pasted a link below of a screenshot of the problem.

My Second Problem is how do I change the colour of the light grey in the red square to match the top little bit of grey circled in blue in this screenshot. (See Screenshot Below)

Thanks in Advanced

just a wild guess. you don't have the toolbar showing in the picture. I might start with showing that toolbar and see if that changes anything. I'm not showing that line but that toolbar is open, so...?

Cheers gmc2!

Do you know where that toolbar located in skinstudio mate? Can't seem to find it... I've skinned the menubar that is used for note bar but not explorer.

Cheers

It might have something to do with the painting margins or something with the "Glassy Areas" (Edit Explorer/IE Shell parts-->Glassy areas-->Top glass area).  There's a note there at the bottom that says "also used for totally glass windows with bottom 2 pixels clipped.  You can also access this area from the Per Pixel Windows section in SkinStudio.

showing the toolbar is specific to the program used. right click on a toolbar and you should get a menu that list the various toolbars. they should all be open....

and there's always what Karen said also.

That is actually your toolbar background. A little bit of it shows when you have it hidden, All you need to do is skin the background to the desired color.

Edit Controls/Edit Toolbar Controls/Rebar Controls/Background

That grey is your Button Face color in the colors section.

Change Skin Colors/Show Me The Skin Defined System Colors (in the dropdown on top)/Button Face Dialog Background Color.

Be warned, changing this color will change it in lots of places in your skin.
