Titans vs hard counters

Titans vs hard counters

Sorry all I have not been active on this forum for a very very long time but wanted to say that the expansion is awesome so far from what I have played.

However I have noticed that Titans need to have hard counters other than other titans.  To this I believe if suggestions can be taken a board is to have them susceptible to torpedoes.  I figure if they are like walking moving stations they should have that as a hard counter.

Now this would also mean that you could implement Titans not retaining levels when they are killed due to them having a hard counter unit.  It also means that when someone loses a Titan they are with all things permitted still able to be destroy other players Titan with a regular fleet.

Furthermore you could add more techs that allow you to upgrade Torp dmg for the late game so while Titans have a big impact they are not the be all end all of the game.

Anyway hope this suggestion is something to think about but loving the game either way.

The easiest solution is for frigates to stop giving the Titan exp once it reaches level 2 or 3. That means you can beat up the Pirate Base for a free level then maybe one more and then you need to start taking on real fleets.

Maybe you could go RPG style so that a revived Titan starts out at level 1 but has to go on some sort of hunt for surviving crew members to get back its levels again - go back to its point of death.

I can agree to that the Titan needs to lose levels when they die, and I assume that there is a change coming to the titan leveling.

I think that when titans die and are rebuilt, they start at Level 1, however you can spend Credits/Metal/Crystal/Whatever on it to retrain it back up to where it was. (Similar to how you can buy levels for caps)
Naturally the price increases for every level, with 2-5 being relatively cheap, and the levels after that should be a considerable investment.
This however punishes the player even more time-wise and economically for letting their Titan die.

And more specifically it punishes an Advent player even more since TEC will always have better economy.

titan need to lose lvl but not all the way back to 1 if its a high lvl titan

so if a lvl

1-3 titan is destroyed its reset to lvl 1

4-6 titan is destroyed its reset to lvl 3 with a cost increase

7-9 titan is destroyed its reset to lvl 5 with another cost increase

10 lvl titan is destroyed its reset to lvl 6 or 7 and another cost increase
