Dual Screen - Mouse leaving the game

Hi All,

I just started playing with the Rebellion Beta 2 and seem to have an annoying issue that my mouse isn't locked to the game. So I have the game running on my left screen and try and scroll right and end up with my mouse on my second monitor! This is rather annoying. Is this a known bug and are there any ways to fix it? I didn't have this issue last time I played Trinity.

In case it helps my vital stats are

2 x 24" 1080p (playing game on primary monitor), i5 2500k, 2 x 6950 2GB (Cat v12.4), 16GB Memory, Win 7 x64 (fully updated).

I don't get this issue with any other game and the machine plays BF3 fine so I am happy that is stable :P

Any help would be appreciated!

It happens a lot with any game that is suppose to be run in full screen. Sometimes, the game programmers don't limit the mouse movement to the game screen, so when you move it too far and click it causes the program to lose focus. Is that happening? It also can happen if you move the mouse too fast, depends on the number of times your mouse sends data to your computer.

are you maybe running Rebellion in window mode, but full size?  It happens to me too unless I disable the other monitor.

You would think that if you are using two monitors, that the game would stretch to fill both screens instead.

One or Three monitors, Two just sucks most of the time.

Ya unless you get like a borderless monitor and can block out the black bar easily it really does suck.

It also happens in full screen mode if you alt+tab out and then come back. After you do, the cursor is no longer bound to the window edge and it makes edge scrolling a real PITA.

I run two monitors and I don't have this problem...  It just stays on the one.

I'm having the issue where the mouse is not locking to the games screen. I've tried in both Fullscreen and Windowed mode. Alt-Tabbing out of and into the game has locked the cursor ONCE. I haven't been able to get the cursor to lock again.

Running version: Rebellion 1.52.4792 with the Forbidden Worlds DLC.

I binge on SoSE every 3 -4 months, for a week at a time.  Just got a second monitor and booted up to have this issue happening to me.

Drives me nuts, would think it would be an easy fix.

Heh!

I made the mistake of preording rebellion and this multi-monitor bug was never addressed.  In fact, one of the devs (Yarlen maybe?) had the audacity to say that they "couldnt replicate the problem".

It's been here since rebellion.

I have 3 monitors and this is a game breaker for me.

Now they want more money for dlc?  ugh.  what a joke.

Sorry for the rant.  I'm so disappointed in Star Dock...

Likely someone will come along and mention an external program that keeps your mouse locked in.

I vaguely recall a workaround....something like setting your resolution to something else, then NOT clicking "accept" the changes.

Hope that helps

Here's the thread with the workaround fix.

I had this issue with my laptop running a second screen.

This worked fine, just set it up to lock to main screen and when you want to change to the other, for example i use shift-z to lock to main screen. Once locked holding Left ctrl will allow me to leave screen one to two. When you pull back it will auto lock.
