[Bug] Missing Ships - Video + Savegame included

Hey ho : )

I found an rather obscure bug in my last play session.
My titan ship just disappeared in thin air ...

And yes,  I double checked, it wasn't destroyed.

After some checking in the Forums you are already aware of the bug but need some more proof and things to recreate the bug.

Well I tried my best : p

Check out my Video on YouTube:
After the fight it will vanish.

http://youtu.be/QWSh4DatYV8     (new short link system)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QWSh4DatYV8      (old habit style link @phoenixst8r)

And btw. now is a good time to say: the gong thingy from loyalist Titan kinda ... is too much.
After watching the passage u feel like a monk.

And you can reproduce the bug : )
Just try my save game...

If u r move the Titan ship it's not gonna happen so just watch the fight at the Asteroid.

I can confirm this and it is not exclusive to titans.  I've been reporting this bug since beta 1 initial release.  It can and will happen with any ship.  I just lost 2 cap ships to this bug.  Playing as advent.  It was only these ships 2nd battle and poof, gone.  Just disappeared.  You can see their showing as in system when zoomed out via indicator bars.  You can see which ships they are in the left hand system tree.  But you can't see them in system.  You can select them in the tree, but can't give them orders.  If you double click them in the tree to focus camera on them, you move to dead space view.  You can only see stars.  You can't move the camera.  You can't zoom in nor out.  The only way out of this trap with the camera is to select another ship or structure that you are sure is not affected by the bug.

For me, I frequently found 2 starfishes missed when a large fleet (about 100 ships) is moving. And it is very obscure, because every time it is 2 Solanus, no others, no more, no less.

if I split the fleet into 2 smaller ones, e.g. let the Aerial Drone Host and Solanus to leave a little later, then it will probably have no ship lost.

And I think I am lucky, since I have never loose any of my Caps in this way.

I saw that a few times during the last game - usually two Adjudicators.

I don't recall any other types being affected in my fleet, although a few Disciple & Defence vessels strayed outside the grav well at one point.

So maybe Adjudicators are more likely to go missing than other ship types.

I lost a level 5 Kol that way, thankfully I've not lost a titan (yet).

A minute of silence, for all those brave souls lost! This is worst than the Bermuda Triangle

Hope this info helps the Devs fix this bug once and for all! Good job

I had not seen this happen up until the other night when my flagship disappeared. Yeah, the one that if it dies you lose, that one. Where the hell did I put that?

clicking on icon in the 'objectives' tree resulted in seeing empty space not in anyway correlated to the solar system all my ships were in.

Well than I'm guessing you won that game, unless they finished off your homweorld of course... Hiding your Flagship like that isn't such a bad thing if you come to think about it...

Does get annoying when one loses his titan this way though...

Yea lost a level ( cap ship myself.. thought it was destroyed on one of the 96 planets. Came across it later having gained 4 more levels. see no other choice but to scuttle them to regain the cap crew. *sigh* thats a lil frustrating to have it just go poof to its own lil part of space with current galaxy no where to  be seen.

yeah, well... you can't scuttle a flagship :)

One of the interesting points is that, they are also likely to be the last guys prepared for phase jump.

I guess there are some relationships between the lazy coward guys and their missing. lol
