Rebellion Game Data Directory Changed

from Sins Forums

I've just noticed that the game data directory changed location in the last version of the game.

In Rebellion v0.62 (the one with just the TEC factions), it was inside a hidden folder at:

     C:\Users\<USER NAME>\AppData\Local\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire

In Rebellion v0.75 (the one with the Advent factions), it has changed to My Documents folder:

     C:\Users\<USER NAME>\Documents\My Games\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion

I like the new location better, because it’s easier to install MODS and see screenshots. I just have one question: can I safely delete the files and folders from the previous location?

Edit: This is in a Windows 7 system, don't know if it's the same in other OS's

Edit: And now we are back to version 0.62, version 0.75 is no more! Until we get it again, hopefully some time next week

Sweet! Now if only they'd move the GalaxyForge folder there as well. Then all user generated content could should be much easier to distribute.

Yeah, seems mind only made my galaxyforge folder when I tried to go to the Galaxy Forge tab in game. That or I just missed it the first time, but I'd like to think I'm not going blind... ;P

Let's hope they enable auto-download for Galaxy Forge made maps.
