[Bug Feedback] Missing system icons in galaxy view

I had mentioned this in my original notes regarding the system dots disappearing when fully zoomed out to galaxy view.  I decided to play again today and have found that in the new update this problem is now even worse.  now they don't show up at any view range.  Now they're completely invisible.  The only time they show up is if hover my mouse pointer of the star in the center of the galaxy they will appear.  But as soon as I move my mouse off the star, they completely disappear again.  Can this be looked into as this makes quick zoom out to zoom in to system and from galaxy to galaxy far slower and more difficult.  I've posted some pictures to illustrate my point.

1: System view

2: Galaxy view.... Where are the colored dots.

3: Galaxy view with my mouse hovering over the star.  Can see the dots now.  If I take the mouse off, they disappear again.

Could this be looked into and fixed back to the way they worked before in all the Sins games where they're always visible regardless of zoom level and not dependent on whether or not I actually have my mouse on the center star.  This is driving me nuts.

Coloured dots have always only appeared when you mouse over the system, case in point, just grabbed these screenshots in Diplomacy:

System View.

Galaxy View

My system is the bottom left one, no green and grey dots, didn't bother mousing over it because this was pretty much proof enough.

And here's a screenshot from one of my games in deplomacy:

So no, it hasn't always been that way.  Unless you think I have 3 mice to accomplish this feat.  BTW in this pic, I'm blue.

You folks might want to take a look at the various menus in the "options" screen. I don'T know the name, but I'm fairly certain you can toggle this on and off.

Btw, I only see the planets in the sytems I highlight with my mouse, too. Was this way since diplmacy, so I think it's a default setting.

Just checked the options.  There's nothing in there that affects this issue.  And how can it be since diplomacy.  I've just posted a pic from my own diplomacy clearly proving that it's not always been the case.  I don't have to put the mouse over the star to see it.  It's there.  I can see everything.  The only thing I can't see are systems I haven't found yet, which isn't a problem.  I just want to see things the way I always have.  It's like the picture I posted above in Sins and both the expansions.  Rebellion is the first time I've seen this like this.  And no, I didn't change any settings in diplomacy to get it to do it.  There are none.  This is just the way it's always been.  What's the deal?

Hi guys - We'll look into this. It could be that we inadvertently changed something.

Sorry to resurrect a dead horse, but was this ever solved?  I am currently having this problem in my Rebellion game.  I made a custom map with 5 stars on it and I cannot see the other stars to travel to.  I could have sworn I had this problem in the last version as well, and that it was solved (or it was why I quit playing, until it was solved, I can't remember, it's been a while).  Any help would be appreciated.

I have the same issue right now. I am fairly sure I hadn't have any problems regarding the galaxy fiew when rebellion launched. I created a custom ingame map maker with 10 stars and about 180 stellar objects. As soon as I zoom out of system fiew every map icon disappears, leaving me without even the slightest indicator of where my units and the stars/planets are - explored and unexplored alike. It won't even show the galaxy-like "whirls" that would indicate that there's a system. Only when I hover my mouse over a really tiny spot while rotating the view in an absolutely arbitrary angle would the planet icons pop up.

I am running the game on a notebook with i7-3840QM processor, 16GB DDR3 RAM, nVidia GForce 380M with latest drivers and Win7 64bit OS and I did the usual troubleshooting including several restarts, running in windowed mode and messing with major graphics setting.

On launch date I still had an inferior notebook with AMD Radeon graphics card and no issues so it would seem likely that this as something to do with nVidia drivers.

Seeing how long this problem is floating around already I doubt this will ever be fully solved but if I could provide any help with posting my system specs please let us poor emperors know of any progress because this issue makes being galactic emperor and commanding your loyal minions a real pain ^^
