Floating Taskbar

I am currently using Fearomone as my skin and I have found that it causes the taskbar to "float" roughly 2-3 pixels higher than it should. This allows a thin line to show through of the desktop wallpaper UNDER the taskbar.

I was wondering if this is a common ailment, a feature of the skin, or something I can remedy in skinstudio. I have already tried opening up the image in Paint.Net through skin studio and shifting the taskbar down, I have also tried cropping it to remove the bottom few pixels with no luck.

SIDE NOTE::

Anyone know how to remove the ghost image of Display Fusions task bar on the second monitor?

Top- Display Fusion Ghost Background thing
Bottom- Under Taskbar Background thing

Shimizoki, do you have any other customization software installed, such as MyColors or Visual Styles?

Would you be so good as to open the "About" tab in your Windowblinds Config and copy/paste the info on the thread? I'm thinking WB might not have installed correctly.

Of course. I also have no other customization programs as this is a clean install for my new purchase of stardock software. (I purchased OD, so only have those and Display Fusion installed as far as customization goes)

EDIT::

I did not notice either of these problems yesterday when I was test running the free version of WB before my clean install.

I just opened it in SkinStudio. The taskbar image has some transparent area below it. This is why it shows that way. Only way to fix it is to remove that transparent part.

In other words, it's by design.

I am currently using Fearomone as my skin and I have found that it causes the taskbar to "float" roughly 2-3 pixels higher than it should.

I see the same thing using Fearomone, but only on my secondary monitor, not my main one. I run through all my skins and it happens only with this one. Again though, it skins fine on the primary screen.

I checked through for the ghosting as well, and i see the ghosting on any skin that does not utilize a full size taskbar. I hadn't yet used a blind without a full taskbar, so it wasn't apparent till Shimizoki mentioned it. Again, like Shimizoki, the ghosting is only on the secondary monitor.

Just Display Fusion having issues with visual styles again. Not a great deal for me, i hadn't even noticed it till now.

Win7 X64 with latest WB and latest DF.

I just gave the skin a run, and I do not get that 'line' underneath the taskbar. (Must be a Win7 specific feature) ;)

That was my initial thought, however neither editing the image so that the transparent area is cropped out, or shifting the image down until it is flush with the bottom edge remedy the issue. What else would I try?

Hmmm...

Alright, so I cropped it shifted the image down and it didn't work. That's when I noticed the margins area. (I'm new to Skin Studio). I toyed with those and its fine. Then I changed the margins back to what they were, and its still fine. So now I am all kinds of confused as to what actually fixed that problem.

I vote cropping then restarting the skin.

Well that's interesting, the line only appears on windows 7 it seems. Thanks everyone for your help so far.

I think the ghosting is a problem with DisplayFusion, not the windowblind.

The transparent line is due to a bug in the skin itself.  The taskbar image does not work correctly on a multi line taskbar either.

The area in the background with DisplayFusion is because it has blur enabled.  As the default OS theme uses blur on the taskbar they have enabled it and unfortunately there is no way for us to tell them not to do this.

Unfortunately DisplayFusion has some issues with any theme that is not Aero.  Some things are because WindowBlinds has specific code to handle how explorer does things and there is no way for WB to handle DisplayFusion in the same way, but others are due to bugs in the DisplayFusion theme support such as the transparent area to the right of the secondary taskbar.
