Broke Down In Pensacola

Yesterday I picked up some parts of a crane in Louisiana and am hauling them to Georgia. I made it as far as Pensacola, FL where I stooped to get a cold drink. When I stepped out of the truck I heard an air leak that turned out to be the air bag on the passenger side of my steer axle.

Well, that pretty much stopped me cold as I couldn't ignore it. I put the truck in a shop. The nearest place that had that air bag was in Atlanta. They are having it shipped over night so I should be back on the road around noonish tomorrow.

I'm holed up in a Motel 6 for the night.

Such is trucking.

Mason, when is that new truck entering your life?  Is there really a new truck coming or is it a delusion?  I will ask a question from you former life... do you still knit?  Would pass the down time.  At least you are south where it is a little warmer i hope.

I have no idea about the new truck, the boss hasn't mentioned it in a while. To be honest I don't really want a new one because of some of the problems I have heard about them. I'm happy with the one I have. They all break down now and again, that's just part of trucking.

No, I don't knit these days but I do think about it once in a while. I kind of got bored with it. I just ran out of new ideas I guess.

Yeah, the weather is pretty nice down here, no complaints from me on that score.

I am currently in Washington state. Coming out from Wisconsin I have seen everything from warm and sunny to snow covered roads. It's been interesting.
