Time to go now

It's been real fun all these years, but it's time to go.
Even now it is a struggle to get games going, and I am not even being THAT picky. :)

So just wanted to say bye to everyone I've played with over the years, and reminisce on all the nerd fun with strat discussion and modding etc...

In particular
Pacov - For community support and putting up with my mod package requests- Fantastic job! :D
Miriyaka- For all the mod support and putting up with my LUA questions
Ptarth- For all the mod support, and a love for QoTs
Hedgie- For invaluable feedback for my mods, and being a great player to learn stuff from
ZenGod- For having an aggressive style that jives with the way I play- All the games we've played have been fantastic, especially the ones where we took down "The best" tier 1 players.
In1- For being a rable rouser to stir up the status quo and get people thinking about things, even though no-pounce Sedna is fail. ;)
and Synn aka Blackmage- for having a fanatical devotion to QoT! :D

And of course all the great players who posted replays to learn from and also gamed with me form time to time, like Zex, McShane, Renz, Mith, and Orcun

Cya around, probably in some other games at some point.

Also, what kind of goodbye would this be without a new QoT build. :D

"THE" DPS BUILD for QoT

Synapses- Get DPS ASAP + Survivable Shamblers

1) Shambler 1
2) Spike 1
3) Save
4) Spike II + Shambler II
5) Wave I
6) Save
7) Spike III + Shambler III
8) Morale 1
8) Save
10) Spikes IV + Shambler IV
11) Compost 1
12) Entouage 1
13) Entourage II
14) Enouurage III
15) Tribute
16) Continue with Morale

Explanation
4 shamblers outgun any points you can put into morale, but Shamblers are not exactly robust... so also max their life as much as possible to keep them alive for as long as possible.
This means you take Hauberk of Life, shamblers IV, Entourage III, and even a point of Compost to get that life near 2000 and also a big FU to cheesus crust TB .;)

Crazy WTFBBQ, Compost Note: The 1st point in compost is pretty close to morale in damage = 8 damage x 4 shamblers x0.5 RoF = 16 DPS to all targets for 1 skill point, Morale is about 20ish DPS to 1 target depending on idols... but compost 1 gives your shamblers 195 life too. Compost II and III are VERY bad, and should never be considered. You should also never consider compost 1 unless you have 4 shamblers and are trying to maximize shambler life in other aspects of your build.

Now some charts to help maximize DPS with the best white damage per gold spent items

Priest
01 = 21.6 900 = 0.048 DPS/Gold
02 = 27.84 1500 = 0.037 DPS/Gold
03 = 34.68 2100 = 0.033 DPS/Gold
04 = 42.9 2700 = 0.317 DPS/Gold

Minotaur
01 = 11.4 350 = 0.065 DPS/Gold
02 = 17.01 850 = 0.04 DPS/Gold
03 = 23.1 1350 = 0.0342 DPS/Gold
04 = 30.1 1850 = 0.325 DPS/Gold

Siege
01 = 15 550 = 0.054
02 = 22.79 1050 = 0.043
03 = 31.36 1550 = 0.040
04 = 41.4 2050 = 0.040

Gloves of Brutality
400
25 Damage
Now  considering QoT Rof
1 0.69 = 17.25 DPS = 0.043 DPS/Gold
5 0.75 = 18.75 DPS = 0.046 DPS/Gold and so forth

Example Order of Purchase considering these charts
Start
Priest1
BoTF

Trip 1 -2650 gold
Banded -550
Scaled Helm -550
Brutality -400
Minotaur 1 -350
Siege 1- 550
TP Scroll -250

Proceed as required getting basic life/mana gear, and upgrading idols for more DPS

Prime Directive: Gold is always a concern to gear DPS while increasing life/mana as fast as possible, so you should be trying to take down towers ASAP.

Misc Exploit
Also do not undervalue the ability to buy and sell Forest band to get base armor on your minions. For 250 gold (buy and sell forest band) you put 200 permanent armor on all your units, because there is a bug that base minion armor is not applied until an armor buff is added. This is an 8% damage reduction, and equates to 1 extra tower this on your minotaurs. That makes all the difference in the world for a fast tower take down.

Haha - I declare that only the best good byes include character builds :P

Thanks for everything you've done for the game.  I'm sure you'll lurk a bit here :P  Hope to catch you in some other game at some other time, though.

Hey!

It's been really fun to play with you Lord Orion and listen to your opinion on many things in demigod. Also those awesome mods! Too bad people do not use them enough... Good luck to you in the future games! :thumbsup:

Also thank you for the QoT build! Might want to use it against some players. Also, what do you think about Nature's Reckoning on this QoT build?

Tactical, yeah, hope you create your own goodbye thread, so I could write something to you there. ;P

Julia, I think you are obsesssed about two things in DG: (1) not missing creep waves at any cost; (2) NR on ranged characters. In my opinion, both are not that practical (: There are enough strategically important things in this game that a couple of creepwaves could be sacrificed; NR is not good on everyone.

PS: When I think about it, NR helps you to deal with creepwaves faster, so you are obsessed about one thing (:

Demigod is dead. IN1 why u get so agressive towards the few players still around? I now play only private games IF my friends msg me for a quick start. If I have to wait for more than 3 minutes to start a game I am really pissed off!

Apart from that, who cares about weather NR is good on creep waves or if someone misses one. Who cares if UB goes mana side or health side. Who gives a crap about win or lose... the game is finished.

At this moment there is a total of 4 people playing demigod. only 4. Exactly 4. Does it really matter if they win or lose? Is there any ranking system worth a fart to care about. Is there any profile building aspects or progression in this game? No.

Its been good playing for the short time I was on DG. I think I got my ten bucks worth out of it so this is as good a place to say see you fools in League of Legends when you get over being the best of the best of some 50 people that still play demigod.

I'm not aggressive, my dear Australian buddy. Julia is my friend, so I can afford to be a bit blunt when addressing her, I think.

BTW, I thought you've left us the first time after a very similar post.

Your balanced QoT ideas are still crazy. :grin:

I popped into the mods forum to look on the Uberfix todo buglist and saw a few things I could look into without Miriyaka to do the heavy lifting. However, when I tried to get Demigods up and running again it was somehow glitched so I wasn't about to start it. My install will have to be updated and what not before I'll be able to do anything, and I've been pretty busy with work (and not so interested in bugfixing more Demigod for that matter).

Regardless, it's been fun, and I'll see you in the next game that we start modding.
