Questions regarding transfering the game between Impulse and Stardock..

So it's been a long while since I last played, and this is my first time visiting Stardock's new site.  I was happy to see that I was able to download my old Stardock games(which I had bought on Impulse before... Gamestop), the only exception seems to be Sins of a solar empire.  I had bought the base game(retail) and the second expansion(entrenchment) online, but my downloads page it says "Sins of a Solar Empire (Download + Retail box)" and tells me to download and register through Impulse.

Frankly, I'd rather have nothing to do with Impulse since it's change of ownership and I was wondering if there's anything I could do to have my game accessible from this site?  Or would I have to buy the entire Trinity again from this site?  How does transferring this game from impulse to stardock work?

Only Trinity is available direct currently. There is no transfer involved--if you had it prior to the sale of Impulse, it would have appeared here without any action on your part.

So if you bought the 3 parts of games separately(the base + both expansions) as they were released on impulse you still couldn't transfer it over?  You would have to buy it as one complete package?

I ask because I'd be willing to buy diplomacy on Impulse if it allowed me to access trinity from Stardock.  Otherwise there's not really any good way of going about it, since I'd rather not play from Impulse and it seems unfair to buy the whole thing again just to access it from an alternate source.

*edit*

Oh.  Well that's somewhat disappointing, I guess I'll wait for the right options to be implemented.  Thanks for replying.

Only the actual Trinity package, yes. We're planning to fill out the older releases in the future, though.

One more question actually occurs to me now that you pointed it out, you said "prior to the sale of impulse".  Does that mean that Stardock games were only transferable if you bought them before Impulse was sold to gamestop, or can you still do it even now(and if so, between what distributors? Only Impulse or Steam as well)?

Thanks.

Prior to the sale, Stardock accounts and Impulse accounts were one and the same. When it split, they got all of the registrations (Both Stardock and third party products) and we got rid of all those on our side that weren't Stardock products.

If you bought something after the split, it would be added here when you activate/register it to your Stardock account the first time you run it. All of our games currently sold via digital distribution work this way.

Why does this so make my head hurt?

Why cant stardock just make a downloader and account system and just keep it. This back and forth and who owns what now is just confusing.

Since I only have stardock games, i would like to have a downloader, like stardock central used to be, where its stardock only. and I don't have to worry about stardock selling it to somebody else.

please?
