Reading is what I do while I wait for the night to be over to start the next day. Smile

I love my Kindle. 99 cent books.

Anyway, here are a few books I highly highly recommend for those who dig sci-fi

Excellent:

Old Man’s War

The Last Colony

The Ghost Brigades

Post-Human and Trans Human

Good:

The Forever War

The Old Man and the Wasteland

Decent:

Anomaly

Zoe’s Tale

The Doomsday Book (this is good if you like history)

Fatherland

Quoting Chasbo, reply 8They are not books unless they have paper pages.

Lol.

They're not video games unless they come in a cartridge.

That is what I tell my wife, somehow she does not want to listen on that ear, or any ear for that matter! I have a whole bunch of old video systems lying around. Vectrex, Intellivison, Pont and that old Atari 2600? With lots and lots of real video games (Cartridges) laying around. I think I might have anywhere between 3-400 of them :P

And that is what I cal real video games. But then we have computer games, and that is a whole different story!

I too love my Kindle.  It's great for reading on the train on the way to work.  It's also a great method of self-publishing for aspiring writers such as myself.

I live in Japan and I just finished writing a short Kindle book about my experiences in the big earthquake last year.  Fitting that I got it done in time for the upcoming anniversary of the quake.  Check it out if you're looking for something new to read while waiting for the next FE beta patch:

Not a bad list.  The Scalzi trilogy is good but the man has not written a good original story in a long time, I think he is focusing on his website and his personal views these days.

Other good stuff is out there.  Complex but exciting is Alastair Reynolds and Peter Hamilton stuff.

Judging by the stuff already on that list I would recommend Jack Cambell's Lost Fleet series. I read a lot and this is one of my favorites.

You can get a lot of books from sellers on Amazon for a single cent... plus shipping.

Hunger Game trilogy is ok, I haven't felt "touched" by a book in a very long time, and just hate the terrible movies released about the books.
