How many zealots come out of the woodwork anytime someone anti-anything gets their panties in a knot when someone on the internet questions their stance?  You question one person's anti-stance and suddenly the entire herd shows up.  It's almost like a cult.  It's as if they must crush any opposition to the anti-movement.

It isn't any different from either perspective.  That is if one retains that........perspective.

I had this entire sociological construction put together and thought about sharing it. Then it just hit me that the devs have made their decision and everyone else is just puffing about to no effect.

We were quite happy to keep talking about pudding and Pizza and cookies until people who just read the OP decided to inform us that we're basically stupid for not liking steam.

I think that its really hilarious all the cry babying about Steam,  I love steam been using it ever since it was released and can't say one bad thing about it.  Since getting steam I have gotten the vast majority of my games at really great prices.  

My only complaint with steam is that now I have far to many games to know what to do with rofl.

I think that's not being entirely truthful.  If it wasn't for you and your posse posting pictures etc. of the unhealthy american diet this thread could have easily died a few times already as well.   

You can't exactly hold the "newcomers" responsible for responding to you when the rest of you also won't let this thread die.

I dunno. I don't care if the thread itself lives on and I'm even willing to let the newcomers get a word in. Everyone has a right to throw in their two cents.

If those that have already stated their preference want to refute or whatever, I invite them to just keep to the cookies and pudding.

The new people can say how they feel and then go to cookies and pudding.

So what do you prefer? Cookies or pudding? And a preference in dessert has nothing to do with the 'American diet'.

thx for bringing the game to steam. In my case, if i hadnt seen it on steam im 99% sure i would not have bought it. For those who rage about Steam... give it a try... alot of my gamer friends were smacktalking about steam when it came out. Now most of them use it and are happy with it.

Frozen Pizza is a dessert now?  Besides, food porn is a better label than dessert for the kind of stuff in those pictures.  I would never put any of that into my body......

Well, frozen pizza is the exception of the bunch. And since all you're getting is visuals, I guess it would be more food porn than anything. As for putting it into your body, that's a personal choice. That's kinda what food is about.

It has nothing to do with "just getting visuals".   The reason that crap is referred to as "food porn" by anyone who cares about nutrition is because it really isn't food.

Oh sure anti whatever people are just as bad. But there are those who aren't pro or anti, they just want the freedom to choose rather than the collective insisting that every game require steam. There is a big difference between not wanting to be forced to use something, and wanting something to be implemented that will force others to use something. One allows for consumer choice, the other does not.

Thats totally true.. I was more than happy to let this thread die since the conversation it tends to devolve into has been repeated ad-infinitum  but it kept coming up on top.

There is always a choice and in this case that would be choosing to not use the software offered because it is only being offered in a way found to be unacceptable by some.  It is nothing more than word manipulation to suggest that those who don't have the same cause for concern are somehow responsible (or ever could be responsible) for others being forced into an action.  Everyone is free as always to vote with their wallets, a choice that as of yet has not been taken away from anyone by anyone. 

The difference is and remains in perspective of position and not choice as either party is free to choose action appropriate to their..........perspective.

Steam players talking about Sins being on sale on Impulse on a forum for a game I played were how I heard about Sins.  Ironically, prior to this I had never heard of Impulse and never even looked at Steam and had never played Sins becuase I thought the name was too silly for the game to really be any good.

Layers of irony.

Choice suggests not only the option to not purchase a product.. but what service provider provides a product. People who insist that games require steam are also insisting to reduce the amount of choice in the market overall. How  can you deny that simple fact? I'm not speaking of subjective perspectives but reality here.

Monk, my original point is that they said it'll be Steam only. I then said I won't buy it, which was my choice. Someone followed up by calling me a gay Steam hater.

Any surprise I'm not coming around?
