At least you've got some resources (food or iron). I had one where I was entirely surrounded in enemies with no resources AT ALL. However, I wasn't on a tiny coast like that.

What's the highest grain-materials you've seen thus far? I've had a 6-3, which I thought was amazing...

When you settle, is it important to look at the eight squares around the city for resources or is it only the center one that is used.

Oh, so the numbers in the square represent the total a city in that spot would get, not the bonus for the square? That is good to know!
