The Roamer Clans Predator class warship is the hunter/killer of the cosmos. Designed to approach with speed and clear the way for the following transports, she is lightly but fearfully armed. Outfitted with Psyonic Beam Weapons specifically for the current Arcean dispute, her high speed means she can approach unsuspecting worlds and clear away all but the most robust defenders.

The Predator class is tested in battle with zero losses to date and has been at the forefront of all major incidents.

The Roamer Clans have unveiled their Ground Assault ship, the Hurricane Class. Developed for a swift campaign, it was first used in the later stages of the Arcean Offensive, and helped bring the Arceans under full roamer control. Often seen in fleets with the Predator Class, the Hurricanes have high speed and size on their side, boasting room for over one thousand brave Roamer Elite Infantry at high warp velocity's.

Condor I

The bottom one is Condor Leader. Don't know if it does much good, but I liked the look

Here is a tip when designing fleet ships like the bottom ship:

You need weapons on it. What good is the ship if it can not defend itself? If it caught in the open or in a weak group, it will get destroyed in a hurry. Adding weapons will give it a chance of victory.

Also, by adding weapons to it, you can use it as a wall since ships with fleet modules and weapons will draw all of the enemy fire, leaving your other, weaker ships, safe (so long as the weaker ships does not pack too much weaponry that they steal the aggro back).

Just a few tips from me.

Thanks for the info.  I was beating up the last Civ so bad, I didn't even put it into action.  But putting some weapons on it makes sense.

Thanks

Whoa..the Go-cart defender sure looks.....subtle!

Another tip, if i may be so bold, when taking your screenshots, do so from in the Intelligence Report screen. It gives you ship info and allows for nice ship posing.
To access the Intelligence Report screen, launch the ship you wish to show off, double click the ship and then at the bottom of the menu that pops up, it's right at the bottom.
;)
Edit - This screen.

Bold away.  I wouldn't know any of this w/o the Board's Advise. Actually I'm trying to do a Celestial Galley Slave Ship to use if I go Evil.  But I can't figure out how to do the side planking.

That go-cart defender is certainly much more... elaborate then my own efforts to make a "car".

picture is a bit crummy of the Hasta, but oh well.  not sure what I want to design next.

I quote like that Mzuz..well done!
I'm going to work on the most ugly looking Constructor to date. Iv'e always felt Constructors should reflect their function more than anything, and i like the idea of derrick cranes in space...i'll see where it takes me.

Ill hold this spot hostage till i can get GCII TA to stop crashing on starting a new game.

i get past the set-up screen to the civ select, but it crashes when i click next.

Very Nice!! I forgot how well one can design ships in TA!

I downloaded Croc's 'navy-style' ships a wee while back and have loved them ever since. I decided to try and design my own navy-esque ships and came up with the following so far:

TYPE 34 FRIGATE

TYPE 42 - DESTROYER

For those interested, the first number denotes the ship's service zone (I split up my empire into zones), the second is class and the third and fourth the ship number.

Equalizer (large)

Silence (huge)

Arrow (tiny)

This thread isn't getting as many responses as I would hope. All I have right now are Terran designs, but wait a few days and I should have something up.

I'm getting ready to start my new TA game (finsihing up yet another playthrough of borderlands) and ill have a whole range of ships...i havent designed in TA for a few years, so i will be spending Alot of time in the shipbuilder!

Nice, that looks really cool. I often build in a federation style, or at least a Star Trek style. How many times i have tried to build a Romulan Warbird escapes me, have never done it any justice though!!!

Some ships from my latest game. first time i have bothered with trade in a while so i built a nice frieghter for the occasion.

The Lucian Alliance Warp Freighter.

Lucian alliance Medium Hull: Bird of Prey

And the Flagship of the Lucian Alliance Navy, the Aurora Class. (kind of a cross between an Atlantian (Stargate Atlantis) aurora class and a Mon Calamari ship from SW)
I think my greatest creation so far.

Wow, the Aurora class ship is beautiful, if that's the right word for an immense engine of terrifying laser death. I've never seen any of the Stargate shows, are they worth getting into?

Ragaril, I really like your Federation-style ship too.

Finally scratch-built a ship rather than expanding on existing designs. It captures what I like about the Yor aesthetic - weirdness, odd amounts of empty space, pointy things, and their peculiar aerials/tentacles.

The reason I ended up building this guy is that I really wanted to use some of the more difficult bits of Yor style jewelry. specifically the bits that comprise the top and bottom of the frigate. MAN I wish you could add attachment points to things - I spent a long time fiddling with hidden components to get the aerial/tentacles in the right place.
