Serenity

Well I am now back in Wisconsin once again. It was raining down in Texas and I saw a lot of flooded out roads, not to mention all of the lakes that are normally fields. There was even a few cars I could just see the roofs above the water. Dumb asses actually drove into it, can you believe it?

After spending a day in Kansas delivering one load and picking up another I made my way towards Wisconsin, I stopped in Council Bluffs, Iowa for the night and visited a little redneck, hole-in-the-wall dive bar for a couple of drinks and to spend a bit of time. I had some good conversations and all of that until the moron of a DJ showed up and started playing Hip Hop dance club music. It was amazing how fast the place cleared out.

I got really annoyed with the crap, I refuse to call it music, and packed up my stuff to leave. At that point the DJ came up and asked me what I wanted to hear. I told him I wanted to hear he decided to find a new occupation. He was still scratching his head when I went out the door. I think the moron thought it was some Hip Hop band he hadn't heard of.

I went to the place next door where good old rock n roll was playing, had a couple of more 7&7s and then went back to my truck to give my pillow some head.

I spent last night at the Iowa 80, the world's largest truck stop. Good food, great showers, and lots of shopping for those who feel the need to spend money,

I am now in a motel in Wisconsin, relaxing before I deliver my load tomorrow. It's cold as hell outside and I am really, really hating this whole law against hotel smoking rooms. Gotta love the caring nanny who doesn't give a shit that you have to stand outside in the cold in front of the hotel room you paid for. I am really feeling homicidal towards nannies right about now.

Oh yeah, and my bad hip is really giving me fits right now. I really do hate cold weather LOL.
