[Bug][0.77] Can't re-settle the Imperium wildlands

When entering the Imperium wildlands you are given the task of re-establishing the city. You can't just move a pioneer unit in because you get a warning when hovering over the 'Settle' button that you can't settle in another player's area.

So I thought it must be linked to the Obsidian Golems that were around it. But even after defeating all these I still can't re-establish the city.

I have the same problem and haven't been able to figure it out. All I can create are outposts where it seems other players can create new cities.

I've found this problem - the issue seems to be that when you clear out all the creatures, the land doesn't "heal" or rather whatever script they have that removes the influnce bubble from the Imperia doesn't execute properly, which is odd, as it work for me on the same map with a swampy scarred land. Also, is it possible to have the special areas border be some other colour? I kept confusing it with Tarth green, though perhaps it is just me.

I also had this. Killed everything, killed all the dens, and the territory was still belonging the the monsters.

The Revitalization Spell (used to restore land) is missing along with Raise/Lower land are gone in the  .77 patch!!!

Same problem  here. I tougtht that was because of the increased since 0.76 minimal distance between cities.

I've got raise/lower in .77.  No revitalization, though...

Maybe raise/lower and revitalization are spells that show up randomly? I know at one point there was discussion about some randomization in the tech tree, spells, and units, but I'm not sure whether this is a bug or a feature.

Ran into this problem as well.  But move a pioneer near there anyways.  When you mouse over the settle button, look at the map, there should be 1 (or 2) locations in the imperium that light up with the food/material display.  you CAN go there and settle even though it is in "enemy" land.  That will complete the quest

I delete FE, even the game\data that the uninstaller doesn't remove, re-download/installed 0.75 beta Revitalization, Raise/Lower Land spells are there, then updated with the 0.77 patch and the spells are gone!!!

I have 0.77 and have raise land at least, used it last night to get past god damn caravans that blocked me in on a narrow road, I couldn't move.

I had a wildland with a city in it, captured, it but it never produced influence and it did nothing special other than having a darkling defender that I could tell.  Also, the one with the big worm never went away when I killed it, big green question mark on the mini-map forever.

You have Raise Land but, no Lower land spell? That doesn't sound right. I think the 0.77 patch is buggered!!

I don't know if I have that one, as I didn't look.  I can only verify that I absolutely had raise land and it's working fine.

I had the same problem, but there were also 2 enemy town nearby. After razing them i found 1 spot that could be settled, when i did i encountered an even more annoying bug. Which i posted here

https://forums.elementalgame.com/417064

I'll copy paste what i wrote there:

Hi,

This bug is so weird, i hope anyone can follow it. Possiblity to attach savegame to this post would have been handy.

Well, here goes. After clearing out the imperium lands while having a quest to build a city on its ruins I ended up building the city.

After the city was build, i noticed it had the same name as my capital, till i saw the population number and knew it WAS my capital. At least, when i click on it, i go to the build/train queue of my capital. I haven't tried building anything on the other site yet, since all was build already sofar in my capital.

On the edge of the screen where all your cities are, i now noticed also that a new city was there, with another name, the one actually being there in the imperium, but there is no way to go to that city's build queue.

So here i am having build the best located city, with nothing i can do to actually build the city up.

I've had great luck revitalizing the wilds.  You seem to just have to clear out all the monster dens, then the hostile territory goes away and you can resettle.

Sounding like a name conflict with Magnar Imperium city could be at play here perhaps?

No, capital is called Athica, and the new city was something else too

The big world quest zones never disappear if at any point previous I have loaded the game from a save so far.

However, I've not yet gotten the Imperium quest/zone in my maps.

I have had it happen twice with the big world quest zones, clearing all mobs including the big bad boss does not allow outposts to be built as the zone still belongs to the monsters - because I reloaded. Once with the big ugly green swamp monster, and once with the ice monster (sorry, cannot recall their names :P ). It is like Rishkith says - when I first move into the zone, a quest will trigger and I have it displayed on the left of the screen below the city list. If I save and reload in the next play session, the quest is no longer there. Perhaps the save file has not saved it correctly, thus when reloading the quest is non-existent and will not trigger completion and the zone forever remains with monsters. Can the developer please check and verify?

Just wanted to say I also have this bug.  I've wiped out everything I can see in that red area and still it remains unsettlable.

There is only one tile which is settleable.  If there is any city too close to it, it prevents it from being settleable.  So you need to check yours or other players' cities to see if any are too close to the wildlands.
