Bug or stupid move from me - Changed username on forum, can't start FE beta anymore

Hi!

I changed my username on this site and can't start the FE beta any longer, it worked fine before I changed the username. I understand that when registering the beta it did so with my old username. I reinstalled the game but my old setting seems to have survived the unistalling. How do I reset my old register settings or whatever settings that are needed so I can register the game with my new username?

 

I found FE in the registry at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Stardock\ but can't find any value for username, pw etc.

I just had the same problem because I changed my password, but the game actually told me how to solve it (in an error window). Try to put in /username "your new username" /password "your password" after ...FallenEnchantress\FallenEnchantress.exe in the 'target'-line in the desktop shortcut under 'shortcut'. It should look like this:

...FallenEnchantress\FallenEnchantress.exe /username Morkleb /password ******** (I obviously don't know your password).

I had the same issue and tried the fix, but I keep getting the message "The name 'C:Program files blah blah blah' specified in the Target box is not valid.  Make sure the path and file name are correct."  Any brilliant suggestions as to what I'm missing?  I'm sure it's something incredibly basic that will result in a facepalm.

Ok, still having the same problem with .85.  I completely uninstalled and did a fresh install of the new beta and I still get the "Login Failed. You may have missing or stale registry data.  Try running Fallen Enchantress with the command line parameters / username "myusername" and / password "mypassword" (replacing the values in quotes with your actual username and password)."

I've tried that, and still get the same message about the name in the target box not being valid.  I really don't want to have to try and deal with registry keys, so I'm more inclined to just give this up as a lost cause, but I thought I'd ask one more time.  Thanks, and here is hoping. 

Sigh... I was really looking forward to this game.

I just copied ...FallenEnchantress\FallenEnchantress.exe /username Morkleb /password ******** as specified by Morkleb in the prompt and it worked.

The prompt is where the windows button is (lower left of the desktop).

If you have changed your password or username recently you need to hit CTRL+TAB to open the menu and change the login info.

I tried Morklebs' solution, but it didn't work for me.  However, the CTRL+TAB solution of Fistalis worked like a charm.  Thanks again!

I have the same problem as Agorwallace and I'm wondering if it's because I use the character ! in my password and it just doesn't like that.  Also I don't understand Fistalis's answer to hit Ctrl Tab. What is he referring to and when is he indicating to hit Ctrl Tab?

Start up Fallen enchantress and spam CTRL+TAB til the menu opens. FE has a sub menu similar to that of Steam for acheivements etc left in from EWOM.  there is an option there for account sign in, you can change your credentials.
