Player Selection and Research FRAPS??

We don't care about new models, the community can make those and mod SOASE to the Nth degree.  We want to see fraps of the player selection screen and the research areas.  Modders could give 2 farts about the new paint job for Rebellion.  Don't get me wrong -looks great.  However, a Ferrari body and the same 77' VW bug engine isn't gonna cut it.

Are there 3, 6, 9 factions?

Is there branching research where selecting one item disables being able to research another -or are there different player files and you start the game selecting either a Loyalist or Rebel faction that have just some of the common research, but their own unique research?  Just what's going to go on in the research area? 

Show off the nuts, bolts and internals to the modders.

There are 6 factions, 12 subfactions and 24 militia factions.  In addition the new engine uses all four cores of two cpu's and requires dual PCIe card rigs.

The new game will also allow you to sit in a full cockpit setup that comes in the boxed set using 3d glasses and a surround screen.  It's pretty awesome.  Comes with a force-feedback chair and body suit.  Weapon hits are simulated with electrical shocks and vibrations given through your suit.  If your flag ship is destroyed, the cockpit display you play in will burst into flames.

It will be on sale this summer for under $250k USD.

I special ordered a Novalith command center instead of the standard cockpit. :grin:

In all seriousness to the OP, they have stated there will be 6 subfactions. In regards to the research it sounds like something you research will decide whether you are loyalist or rebel, at which points some research will be opened up and others will be closed off.
