btw GUI top, bottom left sections disappear AND screenshots do not work when GUI missing

played fe beta on two of my machines (one dual boots between xp & win7 32 bit & the other is my infamous flamer machine(from back in the wom beta still with the geforce 7600gs card AND the latest beta drivers) that looses the main(large bottom left) GUI after approx 30 turns even after clicking on an army
on xp FE has crashed several times on both systems, but sofar no crashes on win7, the dual boot is a lenovo laptop model g530 using intel chipset graphics

also tried several named maps in various starts, and on NO named map tried was I able to found a city ANYWHERE as NO grain was found, was only able to find grain in games with random maps of each size tried

sorry about the blurry pic,but as you can see the entire lefthand side (empire tree, the unit/location gui AND the top bar have disappeared, the only items left are the factions list and the main game view.
