Snowman brought WB: Derelict by xino to my attention in a post. I just had to make it a project to update my personal Oldies Reloaded Library.

At this time, it's a work In Progress and subject to change. Any idea is welcome to help the learning progress.

 

The wallpaper is my personal and is not on the net.

Just as the description says: A beautiful skin that was made in 2004 and I'm in the process of updating it to fully skin Windows 7. It is in progress, not done. I come here for advise this time in hope to make it better. I'm not that good.

So... are you doing this for your own personal use or is it something you plan to redistribute ( with the original authors permission ).

Geezus guys! He likes the skin...he wants to update it for himself...he's hoping to get some advice or tips on how to do that. Lighten up. I'm sure he knows full well he can't upload it as his own. This is a "community" after all...right!? Unless you live under a rock we all know Elsius is a little enthusiastic in his posts. I really have to wonder about the attitudes around here sometimes.

You hang in there Elsius...I'm sure some other community members will help you along. ;) I haven't done a WB or I'd give you some pointers myself.

I've often looked at some of the earliest Windowblind skins where a lot of stuff wasn't skinned yet or wasn't part of Windows to skin. There are some interesting concepts. I think it would be neat to see them redone/updated. I've often thought about doing one for myself just to mess with.

We need more skins like Nostromo, imo, but its style is not 'main stream' enough - doesn't look enough like Windows default....

/me misses the good old fun days of skinning.....
