Anyone has original Sins ship models?

Does anyone have access to original ship models from the game? I am making a still-frame intro movie for Invasion and would love to be able to include the game ships in some of the scenes.

Alternatively, I also seem to remember there being a 3DS Max .mesh importer a while ago, does that work with Max 2009 (and if it does, anyone got a link)?

If you have the meshes and can send them over in Max or Softimage readable format, let me know. I would be very grateful and you get a place in the credits. :)

You looking for sins 1.0, or the beta models? (if u looking for beta stuff i am interested as well)

AFAIK the Original Sins ship meshes haven't changed at all since 1.0. When we discovered the mislabeled mesh nulls they were corrected only for the Diplomacy version. Entrenchment, and Original Sins remained in the same state.

Those will do just fine ZombiesRus5, thank you very much! Now let's see how they look when on fire. ;)

Major Stress, I just need the ingame meshes so I can use them in the intro movie for some scenes. I just checked how they port over from Max to Softimage and everything seems to be fine, UV's are there and all.

Thanks everyone!

Don't have a mesh for this, but it is a beta Kortul I've had in my collection for a while...

If that is in your game then you DO have the mesh. I never saw that version of the Kortul mesh in any of the beta's. The kortul as we see it now has always been consistent since it was first introduced in the betas.

Hah, interesting, so that's how it looked...

Alas no, this was a screenshot I collected looking for images for lore posting....

Edit: there out there, look at this old clip back in 07, the clip was posted in 2010,  some ships I didn't recognize....

It's really interesting looking at older videos like this to see how the game changed.

Last Flagship Standing (Was that an original Victory Condition???)

Agreed, look at the Marza on pt 3 @ the 11 minute mark....Wow...

Edit: Sova carrier on pt 5 @ 3:38 mark, looks like a Marza in the final release...

Agreed. It seems more ... rugged and full. I know it's not as encompassing as the current one but still, it just looks, cool. Soemthing to consider is little things here and there such as the flash bracketing around the fleet strength indicators on the planets, etc.

Just really cool!

Ah the old beta :|

I remember that somewhat... Though its more like I remember being able too research artifacts after you found them in order too get their effects permanently even if you lose the planet it was on.

Oh, and also there was a Share artifacts options in the diplomacy screen so your allies could benefit from them. Still not sure why the removed that :annoyed:

I am looking for someone to help me out on creating a "flyby" of a TEC TechSupport Capital ship for a fan film idea I had.  I'm working on creating a script and seeing if it gets any support.  I'll need this flyby though to help sell the idea.  I'm getting ready to head to a film academy and would like to start working on this.  The occlusion and "game style" textures will need to be modified to look more realistic as I would like to stray far away from it looking like I just screen recorded a game of sins.  I'm designing a legitimate life size bridge set to be built for this fan film which will be the bridge of the TEC TechSupport ship you will see in the flyby.  If it gathers enough support I would like to see it become a web series.

ManSh00ter, If you'd like some voice acting let me know. I can send you some of my demos to give you an idea what I can do.

I mean, assuming the OP is even alive anymore, since this post is as ancient as father time.
