Setting up Cheat with Windows 7 64 bit

Hey I was wondering if anyone knows how to set up the cheat function in Gal Civ II Gold Edition for DarK Avatar. I'm running Windows 7 64 bit mode. In 32 bit mode I used to just add Cheat to the byline ie

"C:\DarkAvatar\DALaunch.exe" cheat

 for example...I do that with my new 64 bit setup and it doesn't work...perhaps 64 bit is more moral than I gave it credit

You need to point the shortcut at the actual game (GC2DarkAvatar.exe), rather than the launcher (DALaunch.exe).
