Please fix the Mesh issue already

Over my past few months on ICO I've probably encountered about 15-20 players who've gotten the Mesh error. I've tried to show many of them how to fix it but some of them were too incompetent to navigate through their file system.

The error is ridiculously easy to fix (probably a simple batch file would do it), yet I KEEP encountering new players on ICO saying "I can't join games it says something about Mesh files!!!"

Can you guys fix the problem already? It's ridiculous. Pseudocode:

If (Mesh error) {run FixMesh.bat}

FixMesh.bat:

Delete all files except for the correct

317 in Sins of a Solar Empire - Trinity\Mesh

60 in Sins of a Solar Empire - Trinity\Entrenchment\Mesh

64 in Sins of a Solar Empire - Trinity\Diplomacy\Mesh

If (any files missing)

{launch Impulse: Verify Game Integrity (or launch Steam: Verify Game Integrity)}

Hm. I bought a hard copy, installed it from disk, updated with impulse and had no real problems with multiplayer.

I did send an email to support because I had trouble registering my reg code. The code on the back of the manual didn't work, but after I sent the email I discovered another reg code on my stardock account or something.

After that I had no problems, so it might have already been fixed for some people.

I hope I didn't cause tech support too much trouble, I tried to send another email cancelling my ticket but I think it opened up another ticked instead. lol. :(

Not everyone gets the Mesh issue, but for those that get it, they either have to be smart enough to find the solution online (delete / reverify), or they'll be permanently stuck in boring single-player.

I just did a fresh download and install from Impulse and didn't encounter the Mesh problem.  I agree, however, that it needs to be completely stomped out.  Hopefully the release of Rebellion will make this a moot point.  If the Mesh Error is still present in Rebellion...total fail!
