Help installing mods

Can't get mods to install

Hey guys I cannot seem to get mods to install right for EWOM and would love some help.  The three im trying to install are

 

1) After the war

2) expanded factions

3) Artifact 5.8

 

Here is what I've tried to do:

 

1) extract after the war files into my root diretory of the install - see here

2) created a 'mods' folder in the root install and extracted all the files for the other two mods into the 'mods' folder.

I cannot figure out what the problem is and documenation on this seems to be really hard to find.  Any suggestions or a link to a walk-through would be great.

 

Also is there a way to confirm ingame what mods are actually installed and being used?

the mods folder is under the My Documents/My Games/Elemental folder in your user space NOT in the games install directory.from my reading of the after the war thread it overwrites files that sins loads BEFORE loading the mods.

In both artifact and expandedfactions it says

Install: Extract all folders to documents\my games\elemental\mods\

only After The War should be in your installation directory, the other two mods are in a completely different place.
