registrated, cant join tournamen or metawerse, game crashes

game keep telling me no serial no. in registry...

Hello, i recently bought GalCiv 2 UE in Europe and i have serious issue (user mistake?? ) with registrating product and playing online. 

I have no problem to run it on my Win7x64, no trouble with single player or campaign, but every time i try to log in to Tournament, game crash. I press "tournament", fill in my nick and PW and once i confirm, it crash. I have installed GameStop Now and in it i did enter my serial no., furthermore, I have proceed registration via GameStop. 

Firewall dont even ask me to allow any try to connect to out-site (might be a user mistake, again).

Any advice what to do, please?

I forgot to mention that I did update game via GameStop. Its now v2.04

Also, I just check my profile on store.stardock.com and there it is all right - my serial no. is filled in correctly. I really dont have a clue what might cause my trouble.

The crash appears to be related to user credentials not correctly getting copied/written to HKCU registry locations.
Workaround:
Extracting the contents of http://sd.stardock.com/gc2_ultimate_2.04.2.zip to the GalCiv2\Twilight directory should also fix the crash.
More/better fix to make sure all HKCU settings keys are set properly from registration:
Start / Run / regedit.exe (will request elevation) Delete HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Stardock\Settings Erase C:\ProgramData\Stardock\GC2UL\sig.bin (will request elevation) May need to remove the sig.bin from ProgramData\Stardock\Twilight instead. Run the GalCiv2\Twilight\GC2TwilightoftheArnor.exe and enter your Stardock account information and serial when prompted. This will update the registry keys in HKCU that you just removed as well to cache the user credentials the Metaverse login is expecting. If you are still having problems, please email kwilas at stardock.com directly. Kris
