WinStep Extreme

Weather Widget

My WinStep weather widget has stopped working again as of today.  It worked yesterday.  Anyone know why?

I uploaded Xiandi's Winstep for Metropolite and the weather in it is working.  :sun:

I think I remember JCRabbit saying he did an update because of a weather problem.  Have you checked to see if you have the most current version?

Because TWC took it's feed again.

Use METAR codes for now, unless you update to the latest version, in which I think the weather may be fixed.

11.10 is the latest version and mine is working.

No problems with the Winstep weather widget, and am running the latest version.

I haven't yet updated and mine isn't working.  :'(

BigDog, if you are already using v11.10 of Winstep Xtreme and you are located in the US, try the following: open the Weather settings panel, and, in the text box that says country, overwrite 'United States' with your State code, then press Ok.

Ya thanks that did it.

For reference I am using latest version 11.10 but.... MS had critical updates today.  Thay always seem to bork something.

It wasn't MS, I actually managed to bork that one myself, lol

Issue only happens for certain locations in the US (and, even then, only sometimes as you have noticed) and I've fixed it already for the next release.

Has it been a year already?

It's also been a year since I had a steady job. :'(

As much as I love and use the software, our budget has no room for non-essentials. I have the full version now thanks to the generosity of a good friend. I don't know if I should say who, but you know who you are. O:) 5* 5*

You can bet I'll be renewing as soon as things get better.(They sure as heck can't get much worse)

Well, going through a bankruptcy right now. Just don't have the extra money for renewal right now. My sub lapsed in August, I think.

I'll be on it when I can Jorge, you can be assured of that. Winstep Xtreme rocks. I have had it on my system for quite a few years and I love it. Keeps getting better.

Gonna try skinning it when you get the skinning engine built.

As I've written in the past: Jorge is a truly good person, but I'll probably never be able to say that enough times in enough places. Thank you Jorge for being so kind.

That's apart from Winstep being a great piece of software with incredible support (oddly, also from a guy named Jorge).

Also:

Brad, thanks for having a Winstep Gallery here, and helping Jorge. I don't think enough people say "thank you" to you either.

Oh, Winstep is a huge company with lots of employees. Oddly, as you say, all of them are named Jorge. Just one of those strange coincidences, really!

I'll second that.

And as usual, Doc and I are in complete agreement on something.;)

An additional thanks to all the skinners who make the Winstep Themes we use. 5* 5*

At a time when Henry Ford had 50,000 plus employees, who knew them all by name. He called them all "Bob"
