Those screenshots are just getting smaller and smaller!

You know what I like best about that video?

Mountains to plains without mandatory hills tiles between them. That really made the mountains look very unimpressive in WoM. The rest is pretty good, too.

Is there any chance you could upload these videos to youtube or something instead? screencast.com is like 30 times slower for me, and I'm not kidding about that. For every ten seconds, it takes about 3 minutes to load.

A very impressive video. The world of Elemental seems to be coming alive!

Are we ever going to see you win a battle?  You may not be happy with the AI yet, but it always seems to be knocking you around.

Maybe you should stick to BF3   O:)

Really? I would like more hills. Now its either completely flat or a huge mountain, which looks very unnatural.

Also the tiles with dead trees look terrible and feel like WoM leftovers...

The new little icons are a nice improvement though!

Will any of the AI's be totally evil?

I mean really evil - An evil Wraith Empire AI burning, pillaging and razing captured Kingdom  cities? Hunting down and slaying Kingdom champions before they can be recruited. Evil AI that uses magic to inflict blight upon the lands of my kingdom. In WOM I never faced an AI fraction that was truely evil. I am not asking for all Empire AI fractions to be really evil - just a chance for one of the Empire fractions to have a really devilish and evil AI.

I would also like more hills. I just prefer to have some control over where they can and can't (or are required to) be placed.

That wasn't related to the AI, that was just a bigger monster army.

The AI still sucking has to do with how it uses its resources, moves around its units, makes use of magic and how it performs in tactical battles.

My comments were in jest.  In case they didn't come across that way.

Hard to say really but I guess I would prefer hills spawning by mountains more frequently then normal but far from always.

Ya those dead trees are kind overkill, especially when compared to living trees one tile away. Some living but brownish trees mixed into the dead trees would probably look better.

Hmm, I kind of like the look of the dead trees. *shrug*

I don't know, I think I need to see the dead tree tiles on my own computer to determine if I like them or not.   :pout:

...Please...

I actually like the full look of the map, and all the tiles (Dead trees and all).

Okay, I would have waited to recruit her until after that battle.

Is it possible to add some shrubbery to hills and mountains? I think aesthetically those tiles would look more natural and appealing if the mountains had some shrubbery or trees on them vs. looking like a pyroclastic flow wiped out all life.

Other than that wish about hills and mountains I think it looks cool.

[Edit] Just noticed that is a volcano!, lol.

Anyway, if a hill or mountain is not a volcano can it have some foliage?

It's a graphics setting which I have turned way down for performance.

Bwing me...a shwubbewy!!

I agree, it's looking GOOD.

It's starting to seem as it could set a new standard for the genre. I still have doubts about a couple of things (like "technologies" for recruiting heroes), but I must admit that the overall impression is excellent.

A minor suggestion: justified text! :)

I've been saying it for a while...

Please redo the dead trees!!.. They are plain ugly and chunky.. They need to be spindlier and cooler looking..

Dead Tree

I don't mind the dead trees at all. Only thing I don't like graphically that much is the mountains with their very rounded look. The shoreline looks good and sharp, I wish the mountains would look as jagged and interesting as well. I feel compared to the rest of the visuals of the game, the mounatins underperform.

EDIT: By the way, I really like the new icons.

I generally like the graphics, but the world looks a little cluttered.
