Three firsts in a row!

Edit: Oh so you get to play the beta over the holidays? Oh well, at least we are getting sweet sweet pics.

Daggum seanw3!

That shot really shows a scale difference. Is that from the strategic map view or tactical?

ROFL. That reminds me of a psycho-ex girlfriend who had a doberman named Cinnamon. She would sic that mutt on me whenever she was displeased--reminded me of Cersei from Game of Thrones. Thanks for the memory---Haw

Looking good!

I assume this is a screenshot from a tactical battle?

I don't think it is from tactical. I think it's just a zoomed in strategic map or a cutscene when the battle begins.

Derek has confirmed that "tactical" battles will be blank room scenarios, whereas that map shows a chasm with a creature in it. Also the thing with the book on top loos very much strategic map scaled.

I know this neighborhood, looks like East St. Louis.

Yes I assumed wrongly, there's no health bar over the units head or squares on the ground so it's not TC. Weird scale though... That monster must be friggin huge.

If that's not TC, then it's even more super-awesome.

I get the impression someone on the art team has visited the Giant's Causeway in Northern Ireland.

WOW!  That is just awesome.   Frogboy and his "no advertising" screenshots. :smitten:

Word of mouth will be great for the beta.  My wife and older kids are already sick of hearing me talk about it.   My 3 week old son will listen to me all day though. (captive audience )  :)

It would be smart to repackage Galciv2 and sell it for ten bucks on steam with an advertisement for FE. You know, if the game doesn't cause cancer after all.

That's a strategic map shot btw.

How much effort, if any, is going into making sure that tactical maps accurately represent the strategic point at which the battle is happening?

None, the tactical battle with that creature is even sicker looking.

Sounds great.

Thanks for the answer.

freaking SA wheeet!

Considering that is the strategic view, amazing!

Well it's just a really zoomed in strategic view with grids turned off. If you played WoM you know how the unit scaling works when you zoom in. I don't get what all the fuzz is about. You probably never zoom that much in when actually playing.
