Odd. I am using Win 7 64 and I see rename and remove in my right click menu.

Are you using and program that would alter your right click menu?

Yeah, should look like this.

I am not aware of any program interfering, I do not have any of the options you have for the Fence program, if this goes through this is what I get when I right click inside the fence:

well that didn't work for sending a shot of the desktop, but as I said I don't have the options available when I right click

Thanks for the replies!

I just right clicked on the shot I wanted to send and I see I have the option to exclude that icon from Fence's quick hide so that part of Fence's is available

What version of Fences are you using?  It should be in the About section of the configuration menu.

I am using version 1.01.143, when I click on update it says it is the latest version, this is also the free version, I see the Pro version is on sale right now too.

Thanks for the reply, I like using the program but I need to get this working correctly.

Off to work soon.

I should add that I have this on two computers and they both have this same issue

Okay, this morning I decided to uninstall, redownload fences, and try again on both computers, this time it works just fine on both machines! I do get the options to delete or rename a fence, I don't know that these options weren't available at first on the first install but I will be watching and checking, if anything changes I will report back.

Also, I did send a email with a report to Stardock within the Fences program but I've heard nothing so far, I wonder how well they listen to their customers, I know this version is free but it could be a good indication of them.

Hey.

We care very much.  The guy posting before you IS support.

And after you as well. ;)

In fact, except for one wandering Redneck, all the replies were from Stardock personnel.

I'd say that was a good indication they were listening to customers.

Oops! Excuse me, I suppose I should have seen the signs. Anyway, the RedneckDude hit it on the head, I regularly use a registry cleaner, RegVac from SuperWin Software, apparently that is what took out some of the missing registry values: after reinstalling Fences and insuring its integrity I ran the registry cleaner and sure enough back to the crippled Fences program. RegVac has a undo mode which I performed and Fences works just fine once more, I've emailed SuperWin on how to avoid messing with the Fences program, I'm sure there is a way to leave it alone while cleaning the registry.

Its good to know support is watching these things and helping their customers!

Thank you for a good program!
